I have been playing nearly over 800 hours. Yeah maybe I suck at this game, so got a game ban... It is time to say bye to rust which has been taken me so much time to survive as a solo player. Actually, I really appreciate the ban so that i can focus on my college without getting interrupted by thinking of Rust. Thanks!
Since you cheated, why should your hours matter? Try not to cheat your way through college.
Scavvy stop assuming that everyone cheated. EAC is known for falsely banning individuals. Today their system banned thousands of rust players and you think that a few hundreds of them aren't innocents?
NOPE
Every story sounds exactly the same, and pretty much every damn thread Ive seen about it ends up in a dev hopping in, giving evidence that they cheated, and voila, they confess, thus having wasted more peoples time. EAC reacts for a reason, if someone is serious about being unfairly banned, they should try to figure it out with EAC, and check their computer if they have some fishy software it might react to.
I agree, most of the time it's "My brother" or "shared" or "just for a few seconds" But today, there has been many , like xInferno , a few others ( forgot name ) and not to be a goof but "me". EAC was triggered by suspicious software we all have on our computers and we're all hoping for it to be looked into. I mean yes, it was a very effective system but not all of us read Twitter and saw the warning about the wave ban incoming.
You mean the warning about scriptrelated bans? How is it not obvious that scripts that provide an unfair advantage is a cheat? I mean, the only thing that was surprising about that tweet is that it suggests that they havent been banning for it before - which is fucking stupid of facepunch if they didnt. But hey, better late than never.
I'm talking about warning that they will initiate a wave ban. When a wave ban starts you know shit is about to go down. I am certain that many false bans were given, but I am also certain that many cheaters got what they deserved. As said earlier, It's going to be a very very hard process to determine whether one can be determined innocent or a cheater.
I dunno man, in my book, many accusations of EAC banning wrongly have been proven false, and with that, the credibility of "EAC wrongfully banned me" is lost. Why? Because people try to lie. So, when people whine about their bans, and I have some spare time, I have no problem shitting on people who are potential cheaters. It amuses me, and calms my hatred for cheaters. Is it possible that someone can be wrongfully banned? ofcourse, there is a possibility that some planet has unicorns as well. But most likely, its not wrong.
Yeah I understand what you're trying to say and I agree 100% but today is an extreme case don't you think?
I play PC games for about 30 years. I have never been banned...
Not necessarily, Ive experienced a shitton of cheaters the last week, more than I usually encounter. I dont know how many cheaters ive reported, but just the last week FP has notified me of 5-6 cheaters that got banned after my (and propably others) reports. And it was pretty recently that FP added the "report cheater" button when you get killed. When its easy to report, people will report if they are frustrated enough.
I mean, there's still going to be cheaters after today, but it will decrease by a lot. We'll see what Facepunch and EAC decide to do
Today has been a script banwave, if you have been using scripts of any kind, you will be banned with no hope of being unbanned. Another one bites the dust.
