Hi, Rust uses like 100% of my disk in task manager. It's so slow and takes forever to get into a server. I have to play on potato settings.

try turning your draw distance and grafiks down in worst case senario turn on potato grafiks and 1600 by 900 in rust launch settings
Those are what I use already.

And try updating your grafiks card drivers
Um... rust is really badly optimized and will generaly use up the better part of your cpu/gpu/ram. to improve this i slaughtered my top fps +50% fps by following this video

I find by putting it in low resolution boots fps heaps as well
but here's the thing, it doesn't use a lot of cpu or gpu, only like 40%. it uses only 3 or 4 gbs of ram, and it uses 100% of my disk, either through rust itself or my system.
