I think its good that IGN looked at rust from a different perspective and gave it a better score then gamespot

7/10 is much more suited and a much more accurate score I think.
The only thing stopping it from being 10 in my view is the shittier parts of the community. Which isn't really the games fault.
Is this the same reviewer, or did they pull in a different one?
The GameSpot's "reviewer" sounds like a friend of mine who spent 15 minutes on Rust and found it boring. I've given up on GameSpot a long time ago, it's a site for console kids (and I mean kids under 10).
30 hours of play is not enough for Rust.
Thia is a much fairer review.
I don't think I've ever put 1000+ hours in any single game.
I was put off by the difficulty of official servers. I'm glad I moved to a low pop server to learn.
What atarted out as a frustrating experience has blossomed into one of my favorite games of all time.
Are there some issues? Yes, a few. But the game is good and Face Punch has put in the work. It should be recognized.
The IGN reviewer say he has played rust for 30 hours aswell but i saw people from IGN playing rust 2 years ago and back then they thought it was awesome
I was too, but I grinded through it and managed to learn the hard way and now I don't want to ever play any other server - official 200 pop is where all the fun is and its freaking amazing! Action packed!
He probly got rekt so meny times that he gave it an 8.. Rust is clearly an 10/10. and i really want to know what other survival game he is talking about, I have Dayz/7daystodie and both of them lack in all ways, especialy Dayz Standalone.. Also the bow in my opinion is the moust accurate and realistic weapon there is, and also fun when you learn how it works.. games i have played, when you reach a sertain time, you start to ask yourself why am i playing this game.. Rust you could sit in your little 1x1 base all day and just listen to the sounds of nature, or someone raiding a base in the distance, at the same time, BBQ some chicken infront of the comfy fire <3 and ofc, there is sometime them moments when you get 4nakeds knocking on your door, screaming N words etc.. But still, Rust wins in all ways 10/10
rust is not a 10/10 i love it but its still got problems its a great game my favorite game but i can see how so many people are put off by it
Yeah, you'd have to be an idiot to rate any game, ever, a 10/10. I'd go so far as to say giving a game a 9/10 would be personal bias. 7/10 is a solid review. If 5/10 is an average game, 6/10 is an above average, 7/10 is an above-above average game. People are acting like a 7/10 is 4/10 or something.
Rust has serious issues, but a good dev team. I enjoy the game.
