Any reason why you cannot place double thickness walls or 2 walls one in front of the other, as an alternative to building a triangular or square empty base to get the same protection (1 additional wall )?
In stone, a triangular protection (nothing stored there) is 150 base + 3 x 300 walls + 150 top = 1200 stone. A waste of space and ressources.
Then upgrade your stone wall to metal and u ll get pretty much same protection as dubble stone wall

So, the ideea is to place a second wall, unexpectedly close to another one so that the raid estimate in explosives be wrong and your base be safe or at least survive the raid until your next login. The wall I wish to strengthen is on the left. As far as I've seen tubers do, you build squares then destroy all but the last and come back with the smaller triangles.
The tightest fit I got was when starting from at the tenth square, just above and below the horizontal square measurement thingie. Thing is, you have the space to place the square close enough, the twig square does not touch your target wall BUT you are not allowed (not enough space). You are only allowed to place them over 1/3 distance (my estimate).
When experimental first came out you could "set" walls in front of each other , so that on one foundation block you could have up to 5 or six walls, players were building bases where the entire top floor was composed of rooms completely full of walls, players raiding would sometimes fall between the walls and have no way to get out (except suicide)

, When High external stone/wood walls came out you could also place them close together and have walls 8 to 10 thick,
But as the game is more favourable to raiders than defenders you cannot do either anymore unless the server lets you stack the external walls,
you can still wallstack, its actually rather easy. I have a video on how to do it coming out next saturday
