Hi, I've recently reinstalled my Windows (from Windows 10 Home edition to PRO Edition, clean install) and after installing Gmod from Steam I've got an error that I can't find the answer online, it says "garrysmod/gameinfo. txt is missing". I've checked the game directory and the file is there, I've tried to put the default (Gmod 13) gameinfo. txt there and still the same error, I've tried deleting it and then doing the verify integrity thing within the steam game options menu, and still nothing. Also, there is no crashdump, nothing.
did you try validating your game files?
I already said that I've tried validating my game files....
are you on a windows? system?
if you are, you might be able to start gmod with a batch file
start hl2.exe -game garrysmod -console
put that into a batch file in the same folder as the hl2.exe
you should be able to start gmod with a batch file
