My RIG: Nvidia GeForce 940MX Driver version 391.01 Intel(R)Core(TM) i5 - 7200U CPU @ 2.50 GHz 7.85 GB RAM 1920 x 1080 My FPS in the game is around 15-17 on fast mode/potato mode. First what I did is tried is to lunch as Nvidia graphical processor. It didn't help. I have no idea what to do. Please help
notebook....
I have noticed this, as well as everyone that I play with regardless of the server. Thursdays up date hit and everything was good. About 12 hours later everyone I know started experiencing the same issue. Rubber banding and serious FPS drops. I personally normally run around 91 FPS but lately its been like 80ish and it drops to 20-30 FPS every other second. I played all day long yesterday and it did it all day. Everyone on the servers I was on were making the same complaints.
besides the fact your using a laptop that downgrades your hardware if it gets too hot, it also depends on the server and if they use plugins. Some plugins can cause massive performance issues.
when you are ingame, hit shift+tab and search in the guide section for "Fps 2018". even if you have on the worst, some settings may be on. Also make sure that Geforce Experience is not on the Auto adjust for games, turn that sh*t off. Also you should always have the powercabel plugged in while you play games, you should also have the battery option set to High performence mode. Also in the nvidia settings make sure to set the quality to high performence instead, you could also try the option next to the normal and set all the settings just for rust "show on the picture" https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/153623/a527a5b5-df12-44f6-89fd-f4afb92bf574/ruust.png and btw, choose the High Nvidiaprocessor, or selse it will run on the intel processor.. that would make probly 15fps.. There are probly some console commands out somewhere to turn down the graphics even more, but you have to google that.. also you can try lower down the resolution to, that would probly give you some extra fps, but will probly look like sh*t.
I am not using a lap top, i never said that. I have a PC with a 2nd gen i7 ruining dual graphics cards. It has been fine until this last update as i said. I said nothing about a lap top. 3300 hours in game.. I think I know wtf I am talking about. Additionally I am not the only one experiencing this... as I already said.
lol, tought you posted that your using the Nvidia GeForce 940MX, that is a notebook gpu. No wonder it's unstable.
if you have nvidia you can get geforce experience can you not? which in there it automatically gives you the optimal settings and can run them
