hl2.exe crashes 1 second after clicking play on steam and no crash logs.

FYI I have tried re installing verifying cache. Factory reset and the common startup problems and solutions thread. (https://support.facepunchstudios.com/hc/en-us/articles/213577689-Common-start-up-Problems-and-Solutions)

So whenever I try to open the game in -windowed it creates a tab for 1 second and then it closes as soon as it has been a second with no logs generated. In fullscreen it changes my monitor resolution for a few seconds and then it closes with steam in full tab mode (or how you call it)
Does anyone have a fix?
