• Re-add scientists

When you added the scientists to the game it was so fun to farm them and much more challenging and fun to loot military tunnel on vanilla servers, and it was probably one of the most enjoyable wipe days of my 5,000 hours. But then in the middle of Friday march 2 they were dropped from all servers in a server update which completely ruined the wipe for a lot of people. You teased us with something as awesome as the rng and grind for un-craft able weapons, and the super fum thrilling nature of looting military tunnels while fighting against the bois in blue as well as other players, then you took it away in the blink of an eye. Just as you pushed a server update to take them away on Friday please push a server update to bring them back into the game, we all want them back. I understand they were crashing specific servers and that sucks but you have like 4 days to fix whatever it is on your end that is crashing them, so for the love of god fix the server crashing issues and push them back out on Thursday. Can someone tell me what is going on with the resolution of this issue and get back to me on when they are expected to be re-implemented?
Commits for 03 2018 They'll be enabled in the next update. If you don't want to wait, then contact with your server's admin and ask to turn them on.
I have them enabled on my server and they stopped spawning after yesterday's server-only update (ai.npc_enable 1, npcplayerapex.npc_junkpile_a_spawn_chance 0.1, npcplayerapex.npc_junkpile_g_spawn_chance 0.1).
Your server's admins just need to re-enable them. The recent server updates changed the server console variables that control the AI/Scientist. Iv'e updated the article here with the latest: RUST Scientist Command

Corrosion Hour, you're a true lifesaver. The people on my server were extremely disappointed that the scientists had stopped spawning around junk piles after the 3 March 2018 server update, and I couldn't find any information on that - there was nothing on their RustUpdates twitter or on their commits pages for March 2018. Now thanks to your info I've changed the cvars that are on the Devblog 198 (npcplayerapex.npc_junkpile_a_spawn_chance and npcplayerapex.npc_junkpile_g_spawn_chance) for the cvars from your info page (ai.npc_junkpile_a_spawn_chance and ai.npc_junkpile_g_spawn_chance) and they are back again on the junk piles. It's kind of sad that FacePunch seems like they couldn't care less for dedicated servers. After all this time there isn't even an official documented cvar list, and if it weren't for people like you, we server admins would be completely in the dark.
Thanks Pedro-NF, just have to remember RUST is still in development and they're a small team. I think everyone would rather them prioritize the game getting to completion before settling on documentation around something that's in flux.
