• Do you need a really good computer to play rust

Ive been watching vids for a while i want to know how many people play and is it easy to build a decent base and what does the server wipes mean... thanks 😆
Building a base - watch some beginners guide, its usefull. Do you need a good PC? If you dont want to have less then 60 FPS buy some around 800$. Server wipe - everything on the server is deleted and map is changed, and Full wipe means the same but wipe with Blue Prints. Have a good day
@GaZt0N , you have to explain what blueprints are, otherwise the man doesn't know what you're talking about. @Moneystacks666 The first thing to tell you is that the game is absolutely beginner unfriendly. The first 30-100 hours will just be frustrating. Once you've arrived, you can have a lot of fun in the game. As a solo player it is much harder than playing with a group. I'll explain the wipes to the Rustafied server A normal wipe is just a map wipe, all things are gone, all people start from scratch. (This happens every month) A Blueprint Wipe is when your learned recipes/construction plans are reset. This happens every 2 months.
Middle end PC I7 6700k + GTX 1070 = ultra settings/60 fps
Played in Rust on PC with 2GB VRAM on medium settings (low terrain quality, medium shader quality) - 40 FPS. Currently on GTX 1060 6GB, 80 FPS on Fantastic settings with all parameters enabled. I guess with 16GB RAM there will be even more FPS.
you should at least have 6gb of ram and a gpu, something like a 730 or better to play on potato quality
a strong computer is not required
Alright I'm looking for around 800-1000 to spend on a computer i also have a 4k TV to use, i don't know if a monitor is better to use or not, the TV is a 55inch smart tv Westinghouse house 4k ultra HD and i know games aren't exactly at 4k yet, i watch videos all the time lol i honestly want this game so bad , I've had dreams about it... yeah i know a little crazy, i will be solo until i find some "friendly" people or something, thank you all for posting on this thread
no you dont need a dank computer, you can get ez 40 fps on a craptop
Incorrect, min is 8
you’re not going to be playing rust in 4k, the higher res is so much more demanding on your pc. You’re also better off by using a proper pc monitor as they have much faster response times, no ghosting, better colours (ips) & depending on which one you get, higher hz rates.
ryzen 5 1500x , gtx 1060 6gb (or better) , 16gb ram and you can easily hold 80-120 fps on good settings.
Personal recommendation: Play first on a community server marked as PvE. That will give you more time to learn the basics of playing the game without being constantly griefed by more experienced players on the regular servers. Once you're comfortable with your knowledge of how to build bases, ability to collect blueprints, and survive in general then you can move on to the regular servers where other players are a danger too.
I have a $500 PC and I play at 120 FPS at full settings.
Is the rust community big or is it hard to find people to play with like how full are the servers on avg
26,000 players play this game on average... average official server cap is 200-250 (some are 400, but Im talking average) Average players on a 200 pop server go around 150ish... thats on officials...much less on some community servers, but some community can be full. The rest I cannot answer as its like asking a question - "If I get a Bachelor degree - how hard is it to find a job and how much money will I be making?". The answer depends on many variables.
I understand its a pvp game but is it hard group with new people, ive always been solo and sneaky in games but this one looks like you may need a group, and no not a clan just like 2 or 3 people together lol
depends on the settings my friend.
Thanks for the coin jacobsclub lol not sure what its for yet lmao, well as soon as i get a pc ill post on here again and hopefully have some of you guys to game with 😊
