This trap is identical to the Shotgun trap and its range is limited to 3 blocks firing a single bolt and then requires a reload similar to the beartrap. Its placement rules are identical to the shotgun traps but it only has a single line of attack contrary to the shotgun and cannot shoot through twig. It will be aimed at your position when placing and can be turned around 180 degree's or picked up with a hammer and fires at anyone not authorized with the TC. The damage decreases by 15% for every half block away from the trap, the bleed is similarly reduced. 250 Wood 100 Metal Fragments 3 Rope 1 Gear In short it is easy to avoid its cone of fire as it can hardly turn, it only fires a single bolt before requiring a reload and cannot fire through twigs however it fires further and has more impact yet is harder to place perfectly like other traps. If the trap hits at the verge of 3 blocks it only has 10% damage left and would at most with a headshot deal 12 damage & 2 bleed and that is assuming its a normal rather than high velocity and at that range its unlikely to be hit unless unprepared and even then it is most likely a chest hit which results in half the damage. This is a trap for early players as well as very tactical players as it can still be a good trap, at best if it hits a targets head from point blank it would cause a kill although that depends on where the target stands and on the armor equipped which is similar to other traps in condition ofc. note: its a trap type more well known and more ancient than the shotgun trap by far, to be honest i was rather disapointed to see the shotgun trap first.
