Handcuffs is the kindest way to handle sleepers you encounter and also a source of fun to torture a target who cannot retaliate. You could encounter a target with basic gathering tols and even a bow and simply cuff him if you fear he would interfere when he wakes while youre farming a spot. They could be made to simply deterioate over an hour so if he doesnt log in while ur there then he wont even feel the cuff and they could be made so he can "struggle" to slowly reduce its durability. Still looking forward to it as for now i can only disarm and leave a small note explaining my reasoning behind leaving them no tools but only their loot & armor... they can ofc craft new stuff but atm no other method is there to restrain them... Blindfolds however i kinda fail to see the purpose behind aside from mental torture and it seems a bit over the top to be honest.
The only purpose I see are for roleplaying servers. So the question is, what would encourage people to capture/handcuff/blindfold players in a vanilla sever? I will have to double check, but I think something like interagation is going to be implemented. This could mean that if a person is blindfolded the player could "interagated" and their base location would be revealed on the map.

Have you guys thought this through? In a raid it would be to your big advantage to just handcuff someone and make him basically useless for the reminder of the battle. I don't see much finesse in Rust coding, so this feature, if implemented, is likely to be a major grieving tool. On the other hand, I'd like to not kill some guys but to also secure them not killing me either for a while. Might enhance gameplay, might degrade it.... Depends on the development to get is right
Handcuffs where made so if you try to do anything it counts as struggle and the durability of them goes down and if they even added decay time to them then it becomes as good as impossible to keep a prisoner for long and the cuffs could decay before waking.

You do raise a good point. This brings up another question - Why would a player preferred to be handcuffed or blind folded rather than being killed on the spot? - or what could be implemented that would prevent the player from killing thme selves once they are blindfolded or handcuffed?
only ways you could be cuffed was while ur sleeping or in a dying state before brought up its not like you can throw them at people or take those that are unwilling. cuffs only restrain you for a duration as they break over time the more you struggle, dying you respawn somewhere random almost starving, blindfolds are a bit over the top tho. Cuffs don't limit ur legs and if ur caged u can always use the console. Cuffs at least offer the option to leave a potential threat alone and they could add decay to them so if the target sleeps through it they wont een realize they had the cuffs on.
