http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/4e8fad22cdb3.png school makes me want to spam the crying emoji i think i kinda forgot lighting stufs except the basic ones and things at least it turned out kinda decent
PROS: well posed neat concept good use of color on the lefthand side CONS: fullbright has killed this image. you need better lighting. i'd center the enemy soldiers more so that we can see them. they're both hiding and its not a good look. fix that grass a little. too samey.
fullbright? preposterous, there are clearly shadows. the problem here is that the light setup is rather nonsensical. there is no proper ambient lighting, the shadows are 100% black, and they're cast by a light source that seems to be level or almost level with the ground. that can't be sun, and thus the sharp shadows should not be there. what type of lighting scheme were you going for? the skybox hints at a cloudy evening while the relative darkness and rather flat coloration say overcast. there's a conflict there, you must pick one or the other. the skybox MUST reflect the scene lighting, and vice versa. your scene doesn't seem to have the sun as the primary light source, and that's fine. however, to properly be able to do ambient/overcast/other such non-direct lighting you need the Soft Lamps, and the knowledge to use them. sharp shadows don't work. consult this excellent tutorial for further guidance on general lighting and atmosphere-related things - it's long, but worth the read: The Complete Garry’s Mod Scene Rendering Guide
i really should read them again aren't i also idk why but i picked that skybox because thats the sky i see in this area everytime when its kinda night time and i tried to match the lightings i saw at that night time i don't really know but maybe thats cus im living in crowded city or something or the korea is the fuckin magic place
i can see what you were going for, although that's a very bright night time light+sky setup, almost like summer nights in the arctic circle when the sun never sets if the light had a bit of a very subtle blue tint to it, to match the clouds in the skybox texture, it might work better
That looks like a rather uncomfortable pose to be grabbing the RPG, they way the hand seems to bend looks weird. Ground also looks very flat and clean for a dirt terrain, I'd be expecting some more rocks, holes or deformations on the ground. Lighting is also very strange, apart from it looking that's coming from a solid white lamp, it doesn't seems to make much sense. Use lights to light up spaces without creating new shadows
