i have a gtx 1060, core i5, 8gb ram. when i play rust i normal play with 130 fps but randomly it just drops to 1fps for 5 seconds and goes back up to 130. plss help me the computer is about 8 months old only so i dont understand why i am lagging
lag is not hardware related, it is net related. Your internet is not speedy enough to receive the positions of all the other players from the server. Now, the server might be slow (in which you can try another and see if this symptom persists) , the wireless might be marginal (too far, someone else taking bandwidth), etc, etc. Drivers maybe? Take a look at your cpu/mem/gpu usage if they are running full.
I get some lag when running in a zone where there already are players (best early detection system ever in RUST!).
