Now there are a lot of other servers out there and each to there own. may have very similar if not custom things as well as ours but hopefully i can persuade you to come play over at our server. ya never know - you could even become staff or even make new friends. I originally decided to create this to attempt to learn lua and to make something of my own. So i hope you just appreciate the work ive put in even if something looks so easy , trust me , its taken me 3 weeks to figure this all out. plus tweaking it as much as i can to make things work perfectly. So unfortunately we only have 1 week left on the server unless we can find someone who is willing to donate - the first 3 people to donate for Gold VIP ($15) will get lifetime VIP plus an extra $30,000 on top of what they currently get. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/YDkkG2s.png[/IMG] Eclipse role play has quite a few things for you to do while on our server which every aspect we have added we are proud of. We are constantly working on the server trying to tweak things and add extra things for our players to do , any bugs that get reported via the bug form in the F4 menu gets dealt with straight away also there is an incentive for players to report bugs at the moment. When you first join you get $15,000 to start off with , we suggest you to go find somewhere to base , buy the ALL doors to that building , build a little base with fading doors and key pads (3 max keypads and fading doors) then buy a Regular printer and a gold printer (we suggest you to not play on the slots in-till you have at least $30,000) [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/lHQmgvY.png[/IMG] On our server we have a NLR rule , basically you cannot go back to your last place of death for 2 minutes , if you do there will be a spear around it and if you enter it , you will be frozen also the admins will get notified and may deiced to kick you from the server. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/kZR5ohV.png[/IMG] We have a lovely arcade that contains slots for those of you who would like to gamble your hard earned cash away.We will be trying to add more casino games to play with other the next few weeks. [IMG]http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/1785/t31q.png[/IMG] We have a very cool point shop that allows you to wear items like hats , backpacks , Trials etc , when in the server type !ps to bring it up. We even have a jukebox system that all players can here , we have made it so when people do play music it is very quite , to simply disable it for your self type PSJukebox_volume 0 and the music will be gone. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/QzFqjwW.png[/IMG] We have a car dealer NPC where the wealthy people *lol* can purchase vehicles , you are able to edit the vehicles color as well as add tail lights and a under glow. All vehicles save and you can even spawn/respawn them at the npc or store them in your inventory at the npc. You can resell your car back to them at the fraction of the purchase price if you want to buy another vehicle. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/opaoWK7.png[/IMG] We have a fully working inventory system so you are able to pick up any weapons you buy , Be careful as when you are killed any items you are carrying will be dropped upon death so make sure to visit The Bank to deposit them. To use the inventory system simply just switch to the inventory pickup and right click to open your inventory or left click to pick up an item , when in the inventory menu right click an item and you can either use - drop - or destroy. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/hmU68fw.png[/IMG] Inside the bank we have Item Bank and ATM cash machines , as stated in the inventory system , you can deposit anything in your inventory into the Item Bank and this will save , VIP's get double the bank slots. ATM's are very useful as you will gain interest with your money being in the bank , because if you get killed with money in your wallet , you will loose it. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/a6Wr0zE.png[/IMG] Now of course we have a few of the good ol defualt jobs but we have included some of our own., these have been edited and changed up. we will be adding more jobs over the next few weeks so please bare with us. List of current Jobs: Hobo Citizen Blackmarket Dealer ECPD Chief Medic : With your medical knowledge you work to restore players to full health. Without a medic, people cannot be healed. You also have the ability to spawn Armor refill shipments. Gun Dealer : A Gun Dealer is the only person who can sell small firearms to any member of the public. Any guns sold to ECPD Officers must be sold at 50% of the retail price. You must set up a shop and make it accessible to the public or you face being demoted / temp banned. Heavy Gun Dealer : A Heavy Gun Dealer is the only person who can sell Big firearms to any member of the public. Any guns sold to ECPD Officers must be sold at 50% of the retail price. You must set up a shop and make it accessible to the public Ammo Dealer : A Ammo Dealer is the only person who can sell all types of Ammo to other people. You must Create a shop if not face being demoted / temp banned. Mayor : The Mayor of eclipse creates laws to govern the city. If you are the mayor you may create and accept warrants. Type /wanted <name> to warrant a player. Type /lockdown initiate a lockdown of the city. Everyone must be inside during a lockdown. /unlockdown to end a lockdown. You also can set lotteries for your citizen to try win money. You must be based inside ECPD at all times ECPD Officer : The protector of every citizen that lives in eclipse. You have the power to arrest criminals and protect innocents. You must protect the bank and all ATM's at any cost. The Battering Ram can break down the door of a criminal, with a warrant for their arrest. The Battering Ram can also unfreeze frozen props (if enabled). Type /wanted <name> to alert the public to the presence of a criminal. Purchase your self a firearm from a local gun dealer. Banker : You get paid to protect the bank vault and protect the ATM's from being robbed. Abusing your job will result in a permanent demote or ban. You also Sell bank cards to the public so they are able to use your ATM's. You must allow public access to the item banks and ATM's. Gangster : The lowest person of The Mafia. A gangster generally works for the Mobboss who runs the crime family. You can also work along side Hackers to rob other peoples bases / ATM's. The Mob boss sets your agenda and you follow it or you might be punished. Have the ability to pickpocket people. Hacker : Team up with the The Mafia and steal things from other players. Don't get caught by the police. You can even hack the ATM's or help rob the bank Mob Boss : The Mob boss is the boss of The Mafia. With his power he coordinates the gangsters/Hackers and forms an efficient crime organization. He has the ability to break into houses by using a lockpick. The Mob boss posesses the ability to unarrest you. Each job has there own wage packet and have there own jobs to be doing , you can find out more info by looking at the rules tab in the F4 menu. [IMG]http://i.imgur.com/n3wHXQK.png[/IMG] On the server we have a unique type of weapons. we have normal weapons that require special ammo and we have custom weapons that not only each gun has its own type of ammo but each guns act differently and do different damage along with most of them can have attachments and the more you use the same gun , the more skilled you become i.e quicker reloads , recoil reduced etc etc [IMG]http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/5544/cl8i.png[/IMG] We have implemented via the F1 menu a wiki/guide for the server , this is very ideal for new players to read to get the basics of the server :) the guide will be updated when players suggest to us what to add , we dont want to add everything but we would like to make it have the complete basics for our newly joined players. Here are a few suggestions I can give you to help make your server more popular to Facepunch users. Having 10 different money printers is unreasonable, by players having money printers; they avoid going outside to role play, and instead camp in their residence farming them. Having money printers at all is fairly unrealistic and will attract the wrong kind of players. By implementing a leveling system, you're making your server an RPG. There's nothing wrong with an RPG DarkRP server, but if you want to pull it off correctly you need to add additional RPG elements. Gaining experience from farming money printers and killing npc's is not enough. After visiting several DarkRP servers with the lotto machine addon; I've found that the money won from these machines is too often. Instead of players getting a job and role playing; they'll sit at these machines, collect millions of dollars, get bored and leave. An inventory system is nice, but players that have a lot of money will simply become a gun dealer and spawn 100's of shipments, put them into their inventory, and never buy from another gun dealer again. A player's inventory system should be wiped after every disconnect, or else these jobs will suffer from no buyers. Letting players buy administrative privileges is no good, and I'm glad to see you don't have this option available for purchase. A VIP system is reasonable, players pay money to keep the server up and receive a few, non-game breaking incentives. But you have three different kinds. A suggestion would be to have one kind. $2-5 a month with a few said incentives. It's hard to find a good DarkRP server nowadays, and hopefully these will help out in some way.

Well i thank you for your feed back , the leveling system has been removed for now , the machines have been optimized to not make you millions , printers have been optimized to not make you millions either , the inventory for normal players is very small so they wouldn't have loads of space. VIP is needed at the prices we have over wise the server wouldn't get paid. if you have any script suggestions or addons i could get then please do link them , many thanks

its an inventory that saves and what you mean? is there any content that is custom to my server? everything added on it isnt default and is customized for my server by me (im not a lua coder btw) so i think ive done a good job espically as it took me 2/3 weeks to do

Nothing on your server is actually custom for your server. If you bought it/downloaded for your server it's just a normal addon.

Only certain jobs can have x amount of printers , plus there print time and amount has been edited. 2. the leveling system is gone. 3. the slots are there for fun , not to make millions. 4. shipments cannot be stored in bank or inventory. also anything in inventory is lost upon death so players need to store items in there bank , money printers cannot be stored either. 5. No one can buy for admin. only for VIP which there is only a few VIP benefits like a few extra jobs , a few extra printers , a few extra vehicles and some money. about 70% of our stuff can be obtained through non VIP means. I mean, he sells the guns, he should sell the ammo for the guns that he sells as well.[/QUOTE] The point of a ammo dealer is so there isnt a bizallion shipments for the gun dealer. due to there are alot of guns that uses different ammo so it can be confusing for a player to be spawning guns and ammo. If you bought it/downloaded for your server it's just a normal addon.[/QUOTE] i understand what he means and maybe some of the server is bought or downloaded but it has been customized for the server , a lot of it isn't the same as the default of the add-on. 3 weeks i have spent fixing and editing addons that either conflict or don't work or just not right from the get go.
