I always thought they meant that you were not allowed to advertise yourself as a server hoster (as in renting out gameservers etc) or advertise a game you were working on etc. Why else would they allow us to keep all these threads here without locking them for breaking the rule?
After all, it even says

As in you're [b]allowed[/b] to make the threads concerning this subject.
I've even had moderators change the name of my thread and they didn't mention anything at all about it. Perhaps some clarification is required?
