The year is 2300. Two hundreds and twenty three years have passed since the Great War and the remnants of United States are finally rising out of the ashes of nuclear apocalypse. Although survival seemed bleak, mankind has managed to struggle and succeed in continuing the human race. Although the creatures and natural disasters of the wasteland prove a powerful threat, there is always one thing that stands in the way of human survival time and time again. Us.
The wasteland is divided. Factions finally gaining foothold in the wasteland attempt to spread their ideals and beliefs, and many qualm any resistance in their path. Take command of a faction, or create your own, and attempt to make an impact on the world around you, while keeping your people and land safe from disaster. Whether you take the wasteland by storm, or merely crumble beneath the boots of another, your decisions, and the decisions of those around you, will shape this ruined nation into something new.
Rules:
• Send each turn you make to me after the end of the previous turn. These turns can only be sent in once, and your first turn is always the final turn. Consider your actions carefully before sending a turn in, as that decision is final regardless of any changes to plans you decide to make.
• Each turn takes up roughly one year of in-game time, so take this into consideration when making decisions. Please also iterate the location of where an event takes place, and try to date the beginning of the project you start. For instance, if you begin working on a water purification system, take the extra two seconds two type the date that work would begin. If a completion date is known, put that into the turn as well.
• Information will be posted in the thread once all current faction leaders have sent me their turn. Please remember to follow this outline posted at the bottom of this post, giving me every single action taken by your faction. Keep the information in "roleplay" format, as in, what you the player would see as the leader of the faction. Do not say "Caesar doesn't know that his top legate is actually an NCR spy", because you are Caesar, so keep that in mind when you send in the turn.
• Please make logical decisions. If I don't find a decision canonical or sensical, I will purposely cause it to fail. If you tell me that you attempt to train your entire faction in power armour and laser weapons, I will point this out as a disaster that causes a huge lose in moral and supplies as thieves take their training equipment. You have been warned, so please try and keep your turns sensical and logical.
• You can tell me specifically if you want any special information not released in the public post. However, if a turn is made that would be obvious to other players, then I will post that in the thread. For instance, if you begin purifying water in a treatment plant, you can tell me if you do not want that posted, because it's sensical that other members would not know this information. However, if you are building forces at the NCR border, that information will be posted due to how obvious it would be to all factions involved.
• Each faction has supply levels that I save and update as you play. Food, medicinal supplies, water, weaponry and the like will all be noted and kept track of. At the beginning of your first turn, in response to your PM, I will message you the condition of your water and all listed supplies. Thus you can make your decisions. This also includes army moral, citizen happiness, and the general health of your faction.
• If you decide to claim unclaimed territory, it will take two full turns to claim it. You can claim more than one territory at a time if you can sustain it, but please not that I will disperse your soldiers across the land as per what you tell me. If you have all your troops held in your capitol, and none in the land, the land will no longer be claimed and will fall into the hands of the wilderness.
• If you want to have an alliance or make trades with players, please PM each other and then both of you must alert me on your next turn what was paid for what and what alliances formed.
• No arguing about canon. If I see any post about what is and isn't canon, I will remove that player from the game and their faction will be given to another player to fuck it up or whatever. If you have a problem, keep it to yourself. That being said, remember to keep your decisions and moves in line with the mentality of the leader you are portraying, and make sure to at least make sense. For instance, the BoS West would not alter their codex to stop hoarding technology, and the NCR wouldn't align with the Enclave.
• As such, you must also take the time to research specific technologies, send out scouts, and work your army. If you want to use power armour, you must train the soldiers to use it. If you want to fly vertibirds, you have to train the pilots to fly them. I will tell you how many of each type of "unit" you have, so tell me what you're training, or attempting to recruit, and that will be put into your file and posted if you choose to allow it to be. I will alert you as to any special "technology" you have as the first turn begins.
• Vehicles can be used, but as normally, you must scavenge them, have the fuel to power them, and so on and so forth. All vehicles in the game are nuclear powered.
I will tell you what special items your faction owns. If you own vertibirds, I will let you know the amount. If you have howitzers, I will let you know the amount. Every single item under your control will be given to you, so do not assume what your possessions are and are not. I have a fucking three page long Excel worksheet for this shit. Let me use it.

If you wish to take control of a faction, please post the name of the one you'd like here. First come, first serve. Please note, if you'd like to create your own faction, please PM me, do not post it here. In conjunction with creating a faction, give me a brief back history, and some information on the leader, location, type of currency, and general well being. I will decide what "position of power" you have in terms of supplies. I will also need two visual aides, a 250x150 "symbol" and a colour to mark your territories. Contested territories will have diagonal lines of the colours of the factions that are fighting for it. Until it is totally won and secured, it will remain contested.
Turn Template
(please keep the design the same for all turns so I can easily read it)
Diplomacy: This includes all decisions dealing with foreign factions. Trades and so on are listed, and acts of setting up embassies and sending delegates to other factions are also listed here. Please note the way the convoy for trade is reaching a destination if trade is occurring, and please tell me where the two parties met (and which members) if there was diplomatic relations. Please note that these decisions are pre-event. If you want to trade or send an envoy, you must tell me first. If the trade is a success, the next turn will alert you. If the delegate reached the foreign land alive, then you are allowed to discuss politics with a foreign faction. You cannot speak to another faction without first sending an delegate, and trade will not conduct unless relations have been set up first.
Military: Your turns should include military actions such as training troops, moving troops, and securing land, borders, and fortifications. You must have the supplies and gear to support troops and territories. You may also define any moves of espionage and sabotage in this form, so please tell me if you decide to do anything along those lines. This also includes dividing troops into battalions and armies, your troops are not one big mess of soldiers, so know that. There are also specialty troops and different gear can be applied to specific battalions, so inform me if that occurs.
Economy: If you are a new faction, you will have to tell me your economic and government type at first turn, however, for starter factions, this is to include any information regarding food, energy, supply, and trade management within your country. For most "free market" factions, this will be relatively empty. Please note that your turns are ordered as if you lead the faction through the government, so if the government orders weapons to supply their army, this is where that information would go. If you are not a free market, and control the economy, you can alert me to what you are forcing your citizens to grow/mine/scavenge for and so on. This also includes all technological advancements you are attempting to make via scientists. (if you have any)
Internal Affairs: This is all the micromanagement of your faction. This includes placing [npcs] in positions of power, setting up education and welfare systems, and everything in between. This is pretty much the grouping of everything you do to ensure your citizens are happy and healthy, or, angry and sick. This is up to you, but know, that unhappy and sick citizens means they are more likely to rebel and die off. A nation is only as strong as its citizens, so remember that. Propaganda, martial law, let your mind go free, but make sure it's canon and make sense. If something bad happens, I will alert you, and you can deal with it your next turn.
Please remember that a turn is meant to be an "attempt" not an actual event. My post is the result of the turn. For instance, the turn you send me in the PM, are your plans for the rest of the year, my post after the turns is the summary of these events at the end of the year. Nothing you tell me is promised to happen, and your orders are not always going to be followed. You are a president, dictator, whatever, not a god.
Conversion rates based on caps: (based on current base values, subject to change, and will)
1$ = 10c
1L = 5c
1LL = 10c
1P = 2c
1CC = 8c
1e$ = 1c
1CG = 1c
1p = 2c
5sb = 1c

And with that, Turn 1 begins. Good luck everyone and remember...
War. War is never altered.

Well technically the Great Khans were already the New Great Khans, so these would be the New New Great Khans. :v:
Well, that would sound silly.
Well, that would sound silly.
Well, like I said, decide all the details in the turn, and I'll send you your faction's situation spreadsheet.

Read the OP
Shit you all have trouble reading the OP. Anyway, in about 2 hours this turn is going to end and the next turn is going to start regardless of if all the original factions are claimed or not. The faction will just stay stale for the turn.
Should I send in my turn or should I wait for my request to be added to the OP?
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
