Gamegrotto Minecraft SMP - Games

We currently have a main city which includes a spleef arena and buildable areas, as well as a bank and other municipal buildings. We offer: Active playerbase Ability to own an upgradeable player-made town (requires a bit of work :) ) Land purchaseable in the cities for players to build houses on Economy system both server and player run World PVP and griefing allowed outside town areas Regular events Jobs for players Quests for players And much more. [b]Some of our plugins[/b] Essentials iConomy HeroicDeath nSpleef Jobs uQuest amongst others Players are welcome to build outside the cities but this is at the expense of protection. You're in full survival mode here as PVP is on as well as everything else. Griefing is allowed outside the main cities so make sure to hide your base well! Players can found their own towns and purchase upgrades for various features to be added, carving their own little corner into the massive minecraft landscape. Everyone starts with 30 coins but a free apartment is available to anyone starting in the server until they can afford their own plot of land. Admins are always friendly and will help you out if they can, just so long as you're nice and obey the server rules which are clearly documented near the spawn. Yes I agree Gambit. As a person who plays quite regularly I find it to be a great place with helpful admins and a decent community.

BUMP (Main post heavily updated)

I played here constantly for 3 or 4 days. On the third day I happened to be running in the wilds (non protected pvp zone) when I turned around and saw a player behind me, I killed him without a second thought. Turns out it was a noob admin, who then instant killed me to take all my items and then justifies it because he dropped a compass and needed the purge my inventory. Well it was pretty clear by the way that admin, incompatible, held himself that it was a personal pride issue having his name smeared accross the server chat that he was killed by me with an iron sword. After complaining about this sorry excuse for "pvp" I get banned from the server. Good. HORRIBLE SERVER, low populations, lag spikes frequent, some good admins and one power tripping childish admin who cant pvp Or even let the players on the server PvP without being a little bitch. ;) Don't waste your time with this one folks, save yourself some time and find a better server.

Sorry about your experience mate, wasn't my call for the ban. Low populations wont be helped by posts like this one though. Have fun in other servers :)

The admin who did it is the guy who provides the server dude, what am I gonna do? :( As for people saying anything about what happens, I understand completely why this post was made and would probably have done the same in his position, but as an admin and the guy who's TRYING to get more people to come play with us, I still do have to say that if the issue is low populations, posts like this don't help. But again, totally understandable and I would have done the same thing in his position.

I had quite a few summoned items on me as I was working on the main city at the time, so I slayed you to prevent an excess amount of valuable materials from leaking into the economy. I apologized to you, and explained to you why you were slain. I again apologize for this, normally I am godded before leaving protected areas, but I had forgotten to. Instead of disagreeing with me in game where I could easily resolve the issue by restoring the items you did have, you instantly went on our forums and made a thread complaining about me and skewing the facts, similar to what you are doing here. I have put a lot of time and effort into this server, specifically on the back end to optimize system resources to provide the best experience possible. Players like you who have only been on the server a few days and are already causing significant problems (I did talk to other players who have been on the server recently, and none of them found you to be all that enjoyable to play with) will be removed to prevent quality players from leaving the server. If you want to run a smear campaign on my server because you were removed for being problematic, more power to you.

So what you're saying is you slayed him because you have a shit ton of cheated items on you, good work.

The world has only been open for less than a week and is still being worked on, we decided to open it early to allow players on. The main city still needs work in order to be fully functional for our RP aspects. So yes, I slayed him to prevent those items from entering the player market.
