So I just bought Quake 2 on Steam since I haven't played since I was 4, and I found a mod called Coop Or Die. As the name imposes, its a Coop mod.
You'll need a custom engine I think, so use this:

Install EGL before the mod. To install the mod, all you have to do is extract all the files to your /Steam/Steamapps/Common/quake2 folder. After doing so, go to [url]http://www.coopordie.com/[/url] and click guide. Register your account and REMEMBER THE DETAILS.
After registering, go back to your common/quake2 folder and find the file that's named along the lines of "coopordie_edit_before_first_use.bat" and edit it. There will be directions inside the file on what to do. After finishing up, your ready to go. Start up the .bat you just edited, and you'll be put in a startup map. All you have to do is hit ~ and type wsrv_Login yourname yourpassword and you'll be connected to the WorldServer. I'm in here currently right now waiting on someone to play with. I'll post in the thread whenever whenever I start playing if anyone wants to join.
