So, I just picked up this game while in a random charity shop while on holiday. It looked pretty cool, was in good condition, and was being sold for about £1, so I bought it on a whim. I figured I could get it working somehow even if it was a bit old.
I then did a bit of research - turns out it was originally released around 1995, so was going to need Windows 95. Thankfully, I have a couple of pre-made virtual machine set up for situations just like this.
Here's a quick taster:
The Journeyman Project is a series of award-winning first-person science fiction adventure games, created by Presto Studios and released by various publishers, including Bandai, Sanctuary Woods, and Red Orb Entertainment.
The central story is set centuries in the future, where after horrific nuclear wars humanity united to create a peaceful global society. Due to the establishment of a utopian society, humanity has been invited to join an alien organization known as the Symbiotry of Peaceful Beings.
In the twenty-fourth century, time travel is realized by the Journeyman Project, the secret program to construct Pegasus, the world's first time machine. After a brief test period proves time travel is possible, the Journeyman Project is deactivated and the Pegasus device is put under the secret watch of the Temporal Security Agency or TSA for short (also the acronym of its base of operations, the Temporal Security Annex). The TSA exists to prevent temporal rips in the space/time continuum, by which changes in the past can alter the present. The player controls a character named Gage Blackwood, Agent 5 of the Temporal Security Agency. The games revolve around Agent 5's exploits throughout time to save Earth in the present.
The game has three(!) disks, and looking at the screenshots, was quite advanced graphics-wise for the time it was made.
I'm going to be streaming it, starting tomorrow. I have no idea what it's going to be like, all I know is that it's a point and click adventure, and spans multiple timezones in the storyline. This WILL be my first stream, so I'm not sure how well it will go, but I did a bit of testing and I think I've got things sorted out. I hope to get through the whole game eventually, though considering the type of game and the length of it, it might take a while.
I'll be in the chat for the whole thing, and will take suggestions for what to do as I go along, so do participate if you're watching, as you could quite possibly point out something that could get us out of any corners I back us into. I've played plenty of point and clicks before, but they never get easier.
I'll start tomorrow morning, hopefully around 11am. I'll update the thread when I log on. As I said, bear with me, because things might get a little bumpy for whatever reason, I'll just try and steam through.
Here's a few screenshots I pulled off google:
