There are so many HL2RP servers which have very poor administration and ownership, making the server extremely dull for its players. There are no real products or companies you see in today's world, or even people that exist within our universe. Everything in this theme of roleplay is mostly fiction and is classified as a science fiction story. Half-Life 2 takes place many years ahead of the events of Half-Life and the Black Mesa Incident and we recommend to learn more about Half-Life 2 and Half-Life and you play both the retail games to get a good hook of the story. If they have a successful application then they enter training before given thier powers. -The Resistance community on the server is slowly building up. Allowing any new players who wish to follow the resistance path can influence where it heads. -We have a map which is not used by a number of servers and has been released this year. In addition to this, we have added props to the map to stimulate role play in a number of different situations. This also means that the map is slightly different to any other communities. -Deviant Gamers is here for the long run. So don't expect us to be shutting down any time soon. If you join to play, you will have a server to play on. -We have a lot of possible investment which can be put into the community and its ideas. This is through contacts I have aquired through work, contacts with people who work in modeling, texturing and graphics art ect ect. This means the suggestions you give will actually me made as opposed to most communities which do a lot of talking about it but don't actually get it done. -We host events that you, the players, suggest. You can mold the server as how you want it to be. -We respect players. It is all to common for administrators to have thier power go to their head and become elitist. This is not the case at Deviant Gamers as we treat all players with respect which they deserve. The advertisement is visually boring, no screenshots. It has no unique properties that would have people join the server. Furthermore, the server is almost always empty during the day, there's no server website, it generally looks like there was no work put into it at all. If you WANT to get players, get an interesting idea that will attract players. They shouldn't just copy what everybody else does, because clearly, after thousands of server deaths, isn't working out. And seriously, if you can't take criticism/very basic comments and replying without supplying your own argument against comment, you shouldn't be hosting a server, or in this case, whining about how it isn't giving advice. If you take a more friendly approach, both sides are more likely to benefit, rather than making yourself look bad and leaving the community no better off. The bottom line is Bloodprime, the owner, is not responsible for copied material. Half Life 2 Roleplay isn't for everyone, and in all fairness there isn't all that much room for individuality among servers. People are here trying to shoot down a server which is trying to populate for no other reason than to make themselves feel powerful. On that note, if you do enjoy HL2 and HL2RP, feel free to join our community. I suppose that is the essence here - we all just wish to have a good time and this drama is more than uncalled for, honestly.
