Median XL is an incredibly extensive mod of Diablo 2; All items, classes, skills and monsters have been replaced with alternatives. The result is extremely face-paced game play all the way from level one; The first skill you get in Median is probably stronger than the level thirty skill you would get in vanilla D2.
In order to play together, we'll have to use Hamachi, and will also need to install a number of mods. Namely two. First, patch your game to 1.12 and download PlugY. PlugY is a mod which introduces a number of changes into the game, the most noteworthy being a virtually infinite stash and a [U]shared stash[/U]. Fuck yeah, shared stash. After PlugY is installed, install the latest version of Median XL (1.F9B) and log onto the Hamachi server- Then post on the thread or send a PM over Hamachi and we can start a game up.

If you're anything like me, you need to spend an hour figuring out what class you want to make; All the classes are fairly interesting, though they've all been re purposed. For instance, Sorceresses are some of the most bad ass melee characters out there, Druids are sweet with bows, Amazons have a casting tree, and Necromancers can shoot rockets from crossbows.

There is, most people just don't use it because the game is hard-coded not to render anything more than a few hundred pixels off the screen, so you'll constantly run into ugly blackwalling.
