I'm starting up another server (Apart from my idle_arena server.) This server is going to play like the Xbox version, it will have no update weapons. However, I just want some feedback from you guys. Would you still want the new maps included, or just the ones from TF2 release? Is there anything other than the new weapons from the updates I should remove?
Note: The only plugins I will install for the server are basic admin ones, no game changing plugins will be installed. (No randomizer or rtd.)

I don't even know how you would achieve this, or how you would disable the airblast, but it honestly seems like a bad idea. Xbox owners play Xbox servers, and PC owners play PC servers. If you don't want the update weapons, go play on the Xbox.
Sounds pretty cool actually, so long as we can still find weapons (as in, don't just disconnect your server from Steam)
I prefer chocolate.

Disabling the airblast would be a simple plugin script I could write up. Also, you can't assume everyone that doesn't want update weapons own an Xbox. I've also gotten requests for a server like this.

Yes, you would still be able to find and craft weapons in the server.
Seems like a bad idea. I don't like the idea of not having my trusty Airblast or Sandvich or any other unlock I love.

I would certainly play on there, but I think the Airblast should stay.

I think this is an interesting idea, and would like to play on it. I wouldn't play, however, if you disabled the airblast. Its my absolute favorite thing in the game.
Here it is right now, I've only included the six stock maps that came with TF2 when it was released. (It may change if everyone wants the new ones included.) And I have restricted weapons so you can't use the new weapons. I've left airblast in there.

How would you stop spies from picking up ammo to recharge cloak, or level three dispensers/teleporters from being built?
Server plugins could probably do it.
Oh, and don't forget to stop all the taunt kills.
There's an awful lot to change aside from removing unlockable weapons. It's really hard figuring out which parts you need to pick and choose to give people the best of both worlds, even assuming you can change them. People can never agree on which updates were good and which ones were bad

Will you be able to disable hat-wearing? That'd be nice, I'm sick of seeing everyone wearing the Gibus. As long as hat-finding is kept, I'm sure everyone will be happy. Also, will sv_pure be set to 0?

I may disable hat-wearing, and yes, it will be an sv_pure 0 server.
