New to minecraft what server should i use?

i do apologies if im in the wrong sub forum but im new to minecraft and want a popular survival or rooleplay server, any suggestions?

I know, but it was the only server I knew where admins don't change the time to day the second it becomes night or they use give commands or other crap.
Aside from profans servers, but they aren't REALLY survival servers, atleast not the ones I know.

My server is just plain survival against the elements really, and the players cooperate pretty much, end up building towns and trading.

I like it that way, and big projects are allowed with people cooperating without people thrashing the fun.

So basically, no PVP, no griefing , but also no cheating in items or messing with the time.

You should try Profanwolf's. He's a good owner and he won't do bullshit stuff such as changing the time or giving people items, not to mention the server has a pretty good community.

Excuse me, I forgot that because walking in a safe city on your server gives me the feeling that it is creative, because of the awesome buildings

My server is pretty much this, there are cities in which it is a safe zone- no pvp/grief etc. Outside the city, you are against other players and factions can reside.
Go it alone or team up and search for materials, play how you choose basically.
