[B][U]Updating thread with my server info:[/U][/B] [U]General Server Background:[/U] The freeman gaming community started up a Half-life two gaming server, As its first server. It had a successful run, and it is going to have another chapter, in terms being another successful run. The Freeman Gaming community started up in early 2013. Started up around March 13, 2013. It started all because the owner was loathing for more out of a server gamemode that he was obsessed with. That gamemode was on the game “Garrysmod”. The gamemodes name was Half-Life 2 Roleplay. The first few months of the server were rather desolate, plain and bland. The traffic of the server was mundane and disappointing. The owner, however, was not going to give up. He was a good listener and a very good brainstormer. He could come up with scenarios and ideas that could contribute to the server’s success. With much hard work, and many hours put in to the making of the server, there was a very positive change in the server’s statistics. Every night for the second month, the server had 35/35 slots filled. The entire second month was very digested and the community grew into a moderately populated community, and the player base was greatly improved. We are on a new chapter, and our playerbase is reaching out and improving. Join in on the fun! [I]Here is the current Schedule for IC activities:[/I] *Metro Police Force Applications – 8:30 AM, 8:30 PM. *CWU Applications – 24/7 (Always available on paper in game). *Rations – 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 7:30 PM. *CWU Business Hours – 1:30 PM, 5:30 PM. *Curfew – 9:00 PM-7:30 AM. *Slave Street Cleaning – 6:00PM-6:10PM. Our server goal is to ba as close to canon as possible. Many servers lose their quality due to the fact that it loses a grip on the Half-Life 2 Canon. The MPF is an example. For example the MPF ranking system is off on most servers, the canon Ranking system is as follows: SeC CmD UeD---OTA: Equal to UeD, when on duty. DvL EpU OfC 01 02---Hunter: Equal to 02. 03--- Scanner: Equal to 03. 04 05 RCT Our server matches it. [B][U]Checkpoint NOVA:[/U][/B] Checkpoint NOVA is a very big part of the server, it is also the only checkpoint that works and has its form out of any other server. Other servers have inactive ones at the train station, while we have a massive, grand, intimidating, and efficient checkpoint that leads from the spawn house, all the way to the entrance of the plaza. PERKS: ⦁ Filters Minges, FailRP. ⦁ Adds to the Roleplaying Environment. ⦁ Puts players in that same moment and mood of the character. ⦁ It is according to canon. Handicaps: ⦁ Takes awhile for the MPF. ⦁ Potentially causes clogs in the line. ⦁ DvL and up only can guard and filter. This new checkpoint system is very intuitive and efficient. Although it has its downsides, they can be avoided and powered through. How to use the checkpoint- Citizen: ⦁ Walk up to the entrance. ⦁ Go through the gate that says your characters gender. ⦁ Keep moving down the path. ⦁ When you begin to approach the MPF officer, try to fearRP as much as you can. ⦁ They will ask you to apply. So wait for them to ask you. ⦁ Once asked, type /apply. ⦁ Once they check you in they will move. ⦁ RP walking through. How to use the checkpoint- Civil Protection Unit: ⦁ Guard one of the passages at the side that is closest to the plaza. ⦁ When a citizen approaches, Wait for them to come within talking distance. ⦁ Then ask them to apply. ⦁ It is suggested if you RP glaring into their eyes, putting fear into the citizens guys. ⦁ Once they apply, open your data pad and enter their data. ⦁ RP opening up the data pad and entering their data. ⦁ Format for their data pad: Citizen ID: Citizen Name: Citizen Time of arrival: LP: DP: Signed by: ⦁ Once entered, say that they can go. ⦁ If they have an UNPUNISHED criminal record, then take them into detainment. ⦁ If they fail to respond or apply when you ask them to while they enter, then re-educate them. ⦁ If everything is kosher, they can go past you. ⦁ RP moving out of the way, and say something like, “Get out of here!”. If this is executed correctly, this system will be a great success.

Slave CLEANING TIMES?! SIGN ME UP! Also to get things straight, this isnt 'canon', this is all shit TnB made up to make hl2rp more deep or something to that effect.

I read this off multiple posts, to be honest. The canon is very vanilla when it comes to the metropolice force. Pretty much they added to the canon. I like to think of it as an improved canon. Our server is a standard way of using the MPF in a way that would be very realistic to canon. If they wouldve put more of a spotlight on combine ranks and their side of the canon, it would be like the MPF system on my server. It is as accurate as it can get. Thanks for the Reply.

I joined for the first time yesterday, first experience I had was walking out of the spawn and getting gunned down by a guy named "Tyrone Johnson" and his other friend, admins we're calling then 'minges' but weren't doing anything along the lines of banning them or getting them out of the server. After being killed multiple times by the people, I just left, there isn't really any use trying to play on a server with people who grief and having the admins not do anything about it.

Those admins were long removed. And those minges were banned. Sorry about that. And the Owner was AFK through it all. He was in a conference call with a few former staff members that were DDOSing the community formerly. So apologies if your experience was anything less than satisfactory. -Jeb(FG Owner)

A thing he admitted to. He was demoted but not banned. The other staff were operators that I banned anyways. Your info is false, and from what it sounds like, you are making things up. (the only name of an admin you said is the one that was AFK, and I mentioned his name just a second ago.) You need to try harder. With all due respect, You sound like a man who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Therefore you decided to leave. Every HL2 RP server post on this forums gets bashed to hell. And those trolls were not banned due to the admin online not having the permissions. Aswell as the fact that the only thing he could do was kill the trolls or place them in a cage way up at the map and remove their guns. If I was online I wouldve banned them. In the main canon, It doesnt specify whether there are ranks or not, or if they are all one rank. And the threads here are not meant for discussion. Either you leave the thread or you stay and read. Checked out the server this morning. Was a ghost town but i enjoyed seeing all the classes that i could choose. Hopefully after school players will be there.:rock:
