Welcome to the 92nd Infantry Division. The 92nd Infantry will be having a grand reopening at an unknown date, but we expect that everything will be ready by the end of this month latest. Here's our website: -nah- Features: - Historical authenticity down to the letter. All server admins know practically everything there is to know about this time period and will try to create a unique, accurate atmosphere for anyone who plays on our server. - Instead of a broad focus on several fronts, we're narrowing it down to one - the Western Front. - Campaign system - we're starting in 1940 (specifically the Battle of Belgium, part of the Fall Gelb) and going all the way to 1944. - Several creative factions. Each faction is lead by someone who knows everything about their faction in particular. - Focus on players, not admins. Players will definitely be able to lead factions and rank up just as easily as admins are! - Lots of action with passive roleplay sprinkled in. - Weekly supply drops; each faction will have a limited amount of supplies per week. - An authentic, varied arsenal of weapons from the time period. - Historically accurate ranks for both sides. - Vehicles! Supply trucks, tanks, armoured personnel carriers, even makeshift planes. - Brand new framework! We'll be one of the first - if not THE first - to host our schema using the Nutscript base. We're very excited about this and all credit goes to Chessnut for providing this beautiful framework to us. Factions: - Fallschirmjaeger - Waffen SS - Wehrmacht Heer - British Army - British Commandos Screenshots: Notes: You MUST sign up on the forums if you wish to play on the server. Edit: As our main goal is realism and atmosphere, we will most likely be using Weathermod, too :dance:
Wow... I was watching some clips from Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers earlier today and my thoughts went a bit towards WW2RP for a few seconds. Now when I checked on FP; you set up a new server with that theme. Freaky! (not saying that your idea is not original, just that it's freaky that I had the same thought earlier today). Feels... Either way, I think this looks great! Nice OP overall as well. I might check this out! [editline]Hmm[/editline] Just realized that you have to register on the forum to play on the server. I'll have to think about it
This just looks sooooo amazing...
Thanks guys, be sure to sign up on our forums if you want to play at launch! Update: Currently coding weapons and waiting on two important commands, then we're done.
This server is clearly shit and should not ever be played on, espicially since hooghoog fucking bashes growing communities.
Looks like a very good upcoming community, thanks for being the first people who post a server that isn't generic as fuck using stock clockwork with a bunch of plugins try to be different. Will stop by and try it out some time.
Your forum could be better and the gamemode looks alright. May check it out.

I wouldn't call that a "growing community", I'd call that an awful community that has no future. Also, how the hell is what I act like even related? You won't deal with me directly 8 times out of 10, you'll deal with my admins, who are all rather friendly. Also, you're an obvious alt - 1 post. 10 bucks says that it's that Fallout RP kid or the 1984 RP kid! @Steven, I didn't make the forums and I think they're alright for all intents and purposes currently. They're not something we're going to use often anyway. The gamemode is still in development, so it'll get better as time goes on. Thanks for posting guys!

More of a one-and-done thing than anything else. Do you have any ideas as to HOW to improve the forums specifically?
More of a one-and-done thing than anything else. Do you have any ideas as to HOW to improve the forums specifically?
- Better Banner. - A more concise, compact design. - No .englishboard.net extension (just a .com / .net domain) - Not PhpBB Atleast in my opinion.
Didn't see the Note about the forum registration until now. I wish you the best of luck with that. Not many servers can pull it off. Many will be disgruntled by the fact that they have to register and may even decide not to join altogether. Why do people need to register on the forum specifically?
We're keeping an active roster on the forums for the factions, that's pretty much the only reason. I've got 33 people already signed up, so I disagree there.

Either way, I hope everything pans out for you! It looks like a nice server. Good luck!
Thanks.
This actually looks good.
Go ahead and sign up if you want to play in the near future :)
WW2 roleplay alone is very boring and repetitive, other then pew pew, I can't imagine much out of it.
Here, I'll make a list of people that have rated my post dumb and why: morak - He runs an awful HL2RP community and I shitposted his thread. a-cookie - My old coder. pilot - Runs a bad FORP community. Other than that, thanks for the advice and support, guys.

Other than that, thanks for the mention, man!

This sounds pretty great, but we'll see how you deliver. I saw that you had a supply drop idea, and I would like to ask if it's possible to have an actual system portraying the power of each side, similar to what Company of Heroes did? I'd rather plan out my tank movements and infantry positions carefully, knowing that if I fuck this up we'll have a huge hit in the morale and supplies due to how we lost 4 tanks and 25 automatic assault-rifles on the front. But maybe that's what you had in mind already. I would like a feeling of knowing that everyone's limited to what they can get and you have to hold onto that carefully.
Basically what I'm doing is sending out a supply list via Steam to each faction leader every week. If they run out of supplies or their supplies are stolen on the way, they're fucked; they won't be given another supply drop until a week later. There's a system portraying the power of each side but we stick to history that way; for example, if Germans have more troops in one battle in particular, they'll have less supplies.
I'm one of the devs here and the gamemode is nearly complete. Please excuse the delay as we can't find a mirror to upload our content pack to; literally MEGA, Filesmelt and Dropbox are not working. If you have any suggestions, post them here, please.

If you have any suggestions, post them here, please.
Why not workshop? :) Just use gmad to turn it into a .gma file and then upload it using gmpublish Once you've done that, use my little guide below. I posted it in someone elses thread just now and felt that it was relevant to this situation:
When it comes to workshop addons, a tip is to just add all the workshop addons that you want the players to use and add them to a collection. You should then in the commandline of your server be able to enter the collection number (which you can get from its url, much like you can get an addons id from its url). You also need a steam api key which you also need to enter into the command-line of the server. Once you've added both of those, simply place a file called workshop.lua (or similar) into your lua/autorun folder on your server with the following:
if (SERVER) then resource.AddWorkshop(xxxxxxx) end
Replace the xxxxxxx with the ID for the workshop addon (can be found in their url). For instance, in your case, you have the link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=166365657 You'd need to write:
if (SERVER) then resource.AddWorkshop(166365657) end
into a file called workshop.lua and place it into lua/autorun. If you want to use several addons, just add more resource.AddWorkshop lines. All of this will make the players auto-dl the stuff from workshop :)
Let me know if you need any help! (send me a PM or add me on steam). Good luck!
700 MB over the limit. Thanks though.
the hoog is back leave your animal sacrifices at the door
