protocolgaming.net PGRP Open beta - Games

Protocol Gaming has been hosting servers for about a year now (mainly Garry's Mod). Our goal is having good admins while keeping the game play interesting and fun. Over the past few months I've been working on our own role play gamemode for Garry's Mod. This project was started 6/15/2013 just under three months ago and started its beta stage about a month ago. I myself have put a ton of time and work into creating this gamemode and all of the regular members seem to love it so I figured it's time to try and bring in some new players. It's a really polished PERP. That's it really. In otherwords, this server is up there with the 1000's of other DarkRP servers in being massive peterpiper scams.

We used to host perp until we got a DMCA notice. At that point I decided I would just make my own gamemode to fill the hole. You can categorize us with the other darkrp and perp servers if you want. But at least we are unique enough to have our own gamemode.

The gamemode is still based on the aging Cops Vs Robber gametype, and aims at getting money out of people who want to be ~special~ with locked gamemode mechanics. You're not unique... Shoe polish doesn't make a pair of boots unique. It just makes that pair of boots very shiny.

Atleast give him props for making awesome nitrous and and a good gamemode to play on.

The main turn-off I have with a lot of PERP servers is just that it's so badly polished. There might be custom everything, but none of it ever works correctly. There is almost always t-pose shit and guns sticking out of your pelvis, as well as the notorious missing textures/ERROR signs over your head from missing or improperly rigged gun models. This is looking a little better than that, but time will tell I suppose. PERP is a fun gamemode to waste time in, though.

Nice thread! Looks like a decent server, might give it a go. But please do change your img bbcodes into img_thumb bbcodes instead (as the images are too wide for some screens to display).
