The year is 1815, the Era of the Napoleon has come to a close, however the fire of the French Revolution did not die with the Empire as so many conservatives hoped it would. The Liberalism of the French Revolution lives on in the hearts and minds of the people previously occupied by the French Empire and due to this there will not be peace without reform. In the Congress of Vienna many nobles and politicians throughout Europe argue and debate over how to solve the issues of Europe in one swift motion. Proposal's ranging from changing the borders to the complete domination of France by the Great Powers are all on the table. However what will come to fruition is up to the leaders of Europe to decide. Meanwhile in England great machines of fire and smoke have begun working, these machines fueled by a black rock that burns. These Machine power "Factories" and have made the production of the British increase beyond that of any other nation. Nations are truly becoming Industrial in times of Turmoil.

The Congress of Vienna was signed and ratified in 1815 by multiple European powers, creating an era of stable and conservative political atmosphere which would stand the test of time. Months later Russian forces annexed most of the Duchy of Warsaw and incorporated it into the Empire, all while leaving the free city alone. Meanwhile in Latin America a few nations such as Gran Colombia, Argentina and Chile win the war of independence against their former Spanish overlord and a new era is ahead of them. In the unforgiving wastes of sand in the middle east, the Ottoman empire invades the Saudi tribes and takes back Mecca, securing it as a hub for tourism for thousands of muslims. The Great Qing celestial empire has decided subjugate Korea after centuries of pressure. The entirety of India has been completely annexed into the British East India Company, Hindu and nationalist rebellions are swiftly crushed.

After a few years of work, countless engineers have finally created the locomotive coal-powered rail car, along with the pauly needle gun; A firearm with a needle-like firing pin which passes through a cartridge of paper to strike a percussion cap at the bullet base, also known as a “needle rifle”. The Senate was mixed on Abolishing the American slave trade, causing the Democratic-Republicans and Federalists to fight within the United States Capitol building. Eventually the abolition act was passed, and slave owners may still keep their slaves. However anti-north sentiment became even more apparent in the deep south. Excavation and mining projects are funded by the federal government for potential coal mines and steel mills in both the southern and northern United States. A few southern states protested the construction of these projects but they went through anyway. Infrastructural projects are built within major cities which lays out the usage of land and technology to be used for building factories, as well as constructing more sewers and waterways. Many places, including Washington DC, have been rebuilt following the aftermath of the war of 1812.

The Spanish government is offered $20 million USD for their western American states, they decline. A delegation is sent to the British government in an attempt to ease relations, and military and civilian expeditions are sent to the Oregon country; claiming it for the USA. However fierce natives have drove most of the forces away from the land. The US Army begins reformation - not much is known about these reforms. Factories become profitable within the city, and subsidies and grants are given to companies to build factories and plants, however many of them run off with the money. Workers are also promised decent wages, however many do not receive enough money per hour to buy a piece of bread due to corruption and loopholes within the system.

The steam engine is regionally invented along with the process of canning. The monarchy is completely abolished and it’s institutions have been revoked, and a parliamentary democracy has been installed. This premature decision has sparked a two year civil within the nation between the Republicans and Royalists. Eventually the Republicans have won, but at a great cost. Overseas colonies can barely manage themselves and are about to fall apart, the failed attempt at colonizing Aceh has caused even more embarrassment to the republic. All male taxpayers are given the right to vote during elections for the first and second chamber of parliament. The military of the Netherlands is rebuilt, however the civil war has caused massive damage to both morale and tradition. Coal mines are set up in the southern French Netherlands and water/wind propulsion is used to power the textile industry in the northern Dutch region of the Netherlands

In a semi coup d'état, half of the Jiaqing Emperor’s power has been transferred to the bureaucracy; made up of the Six Ministries who forced the Emperor to sign the “Code of Nanjing” where the Emperor has to cede half of his power to the newly created “Council of China” - which is, more or less, a body of bureaucrats and officials elected by literate men above the age of 20, who now make up the legislative and judicial body of China. However the warlords of China are allowed to maintain their positions of power without any argument. However, they are requested to have Councilors elected by the people living in their lands to be sent to the Council of China. Jesuit Missionaries are welcomed to China to spread the Christian faith, with little luck in the beginning. The Jesuits are told to respect the law of the land - to which they follow. In a new era of the Great Qing, following the recent transfer of power and the end of the isolation period, emissaries are sent to the courts of European monarchs, as well as European Parliaments, to learn about the inner workings of European affairs. Ports are officially opened to foreigners, British-produced opium begins to be used underground by a addicts, the problem is on the rise but not serious as it is not mass produced. Engineers are sent to industrializing nations in Europe such as Great Britain and the Netherlands, as well as the United States and to bring back everything they have learned about to be used in the construction of Chinese factories. The kingdom of Portugal accepts a military alliance with China, ensuring that the Great Qing has a connection to Europe. The Portuguese are allowed to keep Macau and Jesuits flood the ports in search for souls to save.

A military invasion is launched against the kingdom of Joseon (Korea), the kingdom is quickly annexed and put under the banner of the Great Qing Empire. Armies are sent to subdue the Koreans and maintain order - at least until the bureaucracy can branch out into the region. Many rebellions are common, as the predominantly ethnocentric Chinese soldiers mistreat the Koreans, causing anger and confusion. The Chinese military begins to modernize by importing arms from Europe. China hires retired British, Prussian and French officers to help train troops. The very first Chinese experimental factory fueled by coal is built in China, however it breaks down a year after opening. Schools are built that allow anyone to attend and learn how to read, write, learn history and basic mathematics. Schools have also been built with the exclusion of ethnocentric teachings. Basic railroads are being constructed with the help of American businessmen, a few kilometers of railroad have been built in the early prototype stages

As decolonization continues in the Americas due to wars of independence, Mexico And Peru become independent after years of war, and eastern Hispaniola gets absorbed by Haiti. The rise of the first Mexican Empire did not last for long, and the Federal Republic of Central America split off from it after the first couple of years. A devastating hurricane, known as the Great September Gale, strikes New York City in 1821. Trouble begins in China as recently converted Catholics around the Portuguese Macau area take to the streets in prayer and demand that the government openly recognizes Christianity. The industrial revolution which started in the heart of England has begun to spread to the rest of the world, as far as the United States and even China.

In a state of affairs, the state of South Carolina attempts to leave the union due to the ban on slave trades, however the legislator is branded as a traitor of the United States by the federal government and he loses his position in the senate. The Spanish government agrees to sell Florida to the united states for 5 million USD, however Texas is lost and under Mexican control; making the attempt to purchase that as well fail. The British government accepts a deal to sell part of North Dakota for 1 million USD. The military high command is reformed, with a focus on checks and balances within the army - to prevent internal corruption. The size of the US army is increased to 90,000 men with training of at least three months for all branches. Immigration from Prussia, Russia, France, England and the Netherlands are encouraged and the army is reformed so it doesn;t fight in lines anymore, and the needle guns with rifled barrels allow the army to fight in scatter formation. Many military conservatives in the high command oppose this idea as it goes through. An unnecessarily large army of 12,000 marines, 13% of the entire military reserve, is sent to Oregon country to handle the natives and claim it for the united states at the same time Britain takes British Columbia. Housing in cities are costructed as the states begin to be industrialized, and taxes are slashed for small businesses allowing them to flourish.

Engineers in the Dutch navy attempt to create a steam-propelled warship known as the ironclad, however they fail and the whole thing falls apart and leaks after 10 minutes of use. The needle gun is also invented, paralleled to the American version. Freedom of speech and religion are added to the constitution of the Netherlands, many liberals are pleased however the definitions are very vague. France agrees to lower tariffs on foods to the Netherlands by the Bourbon family in an attempt to compensate for the Napoleonic conquests. The navy is also expanded and the colonial army of the Indonesian East India Company is expanded as well. In a revolutionary invention, cotton is processed into textiles which are used to make clothes and canned food factories are built within the industrial complex of the Amsterdam harbor. A new waterwall is also built to better connect Rotterdam to the sea, agriculture in Indonesia is expanded amongst the working class and tin mines are constructed there as well.

Korean Joseon nationalists in Jeju take control of the island as the Qing navy is unable to traverse the waters due to Korean rebel fire ships and other naval tactics, in a response to the recent annexation of Joseon. The former kingdom is formalized as the imperial province of Joseon and a new governor is placed over the province, however unlike warlords this governor has to answer to Nanking and the Council of China. In order to counteract opium smuggling in China, the council establishes the Bureau of Public Protection - giving control of the police force tasked to end the opium smuggling problem as much as possible. However the use of opium spreads faster than it can be stopped, and by the beginning of 1825, 3% of all male adults smoke opium. Which may seem small but China has a large population which makes it as high as 4 million smokers. The Jesuit missionaries receive government endorsement do to the Council’s belief that in order to westernize the nation - China must embrace a western religion. By the end of the first half decade the city of Shanghai opens up five factories and an early rail system, many citizens become unsettled by this new advancement.

Catholicism becomes the majority religion in the regions surrounding Portuguese Macau as missionaries start to spread the faith the empire. The British decline China’s pleas to end the Opium smuggling, as Britain makes a profit off of growing Pakistani and Indian opium and selling it to the Chinese, which the Brits see as a better deal than buying Chinese goods at lowered prices. After seven years of opened ports, the British begin to mass produce the drug. Emissaries are sent to industrial areas, and they figure out the secrets of industrialization, pleasing the Chinese government. In a swift military reform, the armies are renamed from banners to legions; and numbered as such. Four legions are sent to conquer Dai Nam, the Nguyễn Dynasty. The dynasty is quickly annexed following four years of battle, unrest is very high in these areas, surrounding nations such as Siam and Burma begin to feel threatened by the Qing’s recent aggressive conquests. The navy attempts to structure itself after the British, however many conservative military leaders refuse, causing half of the navy to split off from the empire causing the Qing Naval Crisis. Industrialization continues, and government sponsored magistrates and courthouses are constructed in the areas not directly controlled by the Chinese Government; that are loyal to the council.
