It is 2017. The United States has fractured into 9 distinctly powerful nations. Although in a period of relative peace, the future does not bode well. Storm clouds and radicals are rising as the new born nations struggle to keep themselves built on their ideals that once founded the United States many years ago. It will take a great leader to rule them, but is that you? Who knows, that's where YOU come in. Save the great nation, or keep your own peace. Think of a country as the UN Military strength:National police force Ally: The UN is the protector of this land. Rules No nukes/chemicals unless desperate! Don't do anything extremely stupid or I will remove you from the game! Turns are 6 months long. If war breaks out, they become 1 month turns Do research on that regions politics: Texas is not going to find communism palatable for example. Turn format: Nation: Technology: (Research up to three items, [SECRET] infront of them if you don't want them revealed. People will know you're up to something but they won't know what unless revealed) Espionage: (Spying on other countries, the good stuff) External affairs: (Trades, wars, etc. with other countries) Military: (Mobilize, demobilize, training, movements in war, etc.) Internal affairs: (Laws, riot control, etc.) Other: (Other things that might not fit into those categories) Flag: (A 150x150 .jpg or .png that represents your nation) Tips: Sports are insanely powerful in the US. Use them to your advantage. You can deal with other countries, they will be controlled by me. Other countries may see it fit to intervene in domestic conflict if necessary. You don't want this to happen to you. NATO as an institution is gone. The world is shook up and countries once allies are now neutral with each other. Use this to your advantage and to play countries against each other. If civil war breaks out, you choose which side you want to support within your country. Act accordingly. Rebels might happen spontaneously! Or...someone might have them planned out. Be wary. Friction points: -DC is wanted by both Atlantia and Liberty -The GPC might intervene in the Great Lakes due to interests of Canada and Lake Superior -California is not very well liked for trying to bring the Western region under their control. Texas wants to stop this. [t]http://i.imgur.com/nyDnrw6.png[/t]
i'm thinking of joining, but I've never done one of these "roleplay as a nation" games before. also, don't you think new england should have a stronger navy? they're right by the water, it feels like a waste to just have flat military status. nerf their army or air force.
I'll take over the Lone Star Republic. Time ta fire up dem Hemis and get me guns! I got some queers to hunt!
I think we are starting to get a bit oversaturated with RPs right now. We should probably slow our rolls; it will be difficult to keep up with all of this.
