I've been drafting up an idea for the past year or so by myself based on a PS1 game called Dino Crisis. The recipe system has been vastly improved and is in use on the server as well as plenty of other plugins and such created by me that is also in it; there is also a custom map that has been in development by myself and will be updated as the role-play gets further and is demanded. The community will not only be able to effect the role-play but also the map itself as it progresses. This was something that's been in development around the time that BMRP was also in development, though at the time I had no idea that it had existed.

Dino Crisis would be a schema very similar to that of Black Mesa RP, it would contain plenty of passiveRP while also allowing for actionRP on the side due to the new interactions. I hope that this schema could be for people as it has aspects designed and created from all manners of roleplay, these aspects for example stem from things such as; Apocalypse type role-play, Science/Medical type role-play, military/guard like type role-play and finally the survivor-esque type role-play. I will go more in depth about these sections as they are brought up within the thread, also do not be afraid of asking me questions as I will try to answer them the best I can.
Dino Crisis is set in a fictional setting known as ibis island in the year 2009, but for the purpose of the role-play it will be set on 2005 due to the events that happen on 2009. The island is home to a military research facility, home to the Back Water Private Military Company and Doctor Edward Kirk; a world-renowned scientists who was supposedly reported dead a few years before. Doctor Edward Kirk is leading a secret weapons project within the facility alongside a secondary project called the "Third-Energy Generator" this generator would be used to power the secret weapons project, but seemingly backfires and causes a strange occurrence to happen on the island as it creates a pocket in the rift of space and time. Set in 14/07/2005 within a facility owned by a multi-billionaire scientific experimentation company known as "Isoptera", located on a large island known as "Ibis Island". You are one of many facility members, or perhaps you're a test subject? Whoever you are, expect to be keeping yourself busy as you lead science and adventure into the unknowns; creating all sorts of Physics of Biology related experiments in the hope to better humanity, animals, earth, the facility or even perhaps just yourself?
Isoptera is not the kind of facility to adhere much to safety protocols unless specifically needed, all they desire is results and results are what will be given to them, should you otherwise want to be kicked out of the facility... Otherwise, you'll have a pleasant stay within Isoptera!
Susan Dearing is acting Chief Executive of Operations, she works alongside Science Director Julian E.Hauer in order to keep the facility afloat, matching deadlines and making sure all staff are doing their jobs; otherwise they might be met with a very snappy and agitated attitude.
The lore in itself is very minuscule, everything is made up by the users and player-base of the community. Everything else is as if it was real life up to the date of 1/08/2005 (Server/facility launched 1st august and yes, for reference we will be saying that the server/RP's dates are alongside that with real life dates, minus 10 years.) This will be updated whenever something significant happens Icly on the server.

Let's start with the basic faction of them all, the Survivors. These are people who were drugged, knocked out and taken to the facility to be tested on; they unofficially arrived to the island by boat and are constantly monitored by scientists as they watch them. These survivor's may be picked up by the military within the facility, taken inside for testing if needed or simply left alone to their own doing within the infested forests. Survivor's will be typically left alone to their own devices, wandering the island before most likely and very swiftly becoming dinosaur food; I wouldn't get too attached to these characters unless you're smart and can escape.
You will be test subjects, subjected to very rigorous tests and experimentations should you find yourself kidnapped and inside the facility. Don't expect to escape soon, however you may be "Discarded" and left to fend for yourself once more out in the wilderness.

The facility workers themselves are a very expansive set of people as there are; mechanics, technicians, cleaners, guards and the scientists. Each have their very own unique set of skills, abilities and uses around the facility. For example, the mechanics and technicians are called upon by guards and scientists to repair things such as doors, lights, computers and all sorts of other machines; they would assist the scientists in building machines to their specification.
Scientists would work by creating specifications to new machines, medical breakthroughs, creation of new power sources (Third-Energy Generator) and the perfection of gene alteration and control. They would test on human and soon to be dinosaurs alike in order to create and control new genes and breeds, which would most likely lead to all kinds of reactions, disasters and successions; depending on how well they might be role-played and the experience of the scientists. Scientists must also work to a budget, getting their experiments approved before actually doing them. Should an experiment be started without being approved, then drastic consequences will happen.
Guards would do their daily rounds throughout the facility while the military would provide a more harsher control around the facility in times of need, when things breakout or ultimately go wrong then the military inside the facility step up and control what's needed; evacuating scientists and high ranking workers alike.

The moment you've been expecting and all waiting for! The dinosaurs. Each type of dinosaur is very unique and have their very own abilities and skills, however they have been warped out of their time and have become quite restless in their new habitat. New prey borders on the beaches, while they also try to enter the facility... Dinosaurs will be a good centre of attention within the role-play when they have been released onto the facility via the warp of time, they will be tested on and captured between scientists and the military; that is if they don't eat them first. Currently there are seven different dinosaurs that can be role-played as, providing you can prove you are worthy of role-playing them; The Compsognathus, Velociraptor, Utahraptor, Allosaurus, Spinosaurus and ofcourse... The Tyrannosaurus Rex.

And finally the main project that all experienced scientists will most likely be working on, the Third-Energy Generator. This project proceeds most projects as Dr. Kirk requires it for his top-secret weapons project. This project will ultimately be what allow's the rest of the role-play commence and be brought into play as the generator malfunctions, creating a time warp between this world and another as it brings all sorts of new life pulled through and into the future.
