We use NutScript on the server, What is NutScript?

Fallout: New Vegas Roleplay is a server that takes place in the Fallout universe, it's been under development for quite a long time and we feel that Fallout roleplay has never been done correctly and that if a good server properly ran it we could actually relive some of the better moments of the drama infested gametype. The server is set on a map that is true to Fallout: New Vegas in atmosphere as well as locations that are present ingame. Freeside takes a major role in dividing the map and actually allows for very different styles of roleplay to be picked up in the server. However I think that pictures will really speak more than words, so take a peak at some of the media.

Yes Datzy, your correct.

I first joined the website to check the stuff and the Website didnt load the resources for the forum, only after 5 Website Refresh the site loaded everything.
I would recommend getting a better hosting.

I've heard this server's got swag, but there's some clique-y behaviour amongst players, particularly regarding skill level in the ability to roleplay.

Regardless of what it being, you're able to scrap it and turn it into caps, therefor making it short would lead to people just farming it.

Not sure if criticism is supposed to go here but...

I really liked the fallout looking stuff, even the character creation where you see your player model on a pip boy. Though sad to see the base player models being those city 8 models from tnb with all the logos and insignia's.

The chat is really super clunky and inconvenient with the various fonts used and it can get really confusing, especially when you still have that "you don't recognize this person" system going on which is a pain in the ass.

The map is amazing though.

They could make it so you can't scrap stuff but there's a very small chance that you'll find food/a damaged knife/etc

no but we plan on scrubbing out the lambda bullshit and all that sort of stuff, in time since it really doesn't ruin the actual gameplay since people wear suits from the game that are 100x sexier.

I plan on redoing the chatbox with OOC filters and a backpanel to increase readability, so I apologize for any inconvenience or how annoying that it was to read stuff.

It was an advert. Taco Bell and other people were fighting over broadcasts. I tried having a casual conversation with a lost friend over broadcast radio and got yelled at by an admin, threatened with a ban for being "non-serious".

Because using a radio to find lost friends is "non-serious" ...

So far from playing on this server I have figured a few things out.

A lot of the admins asspull and are leaders/key players in each faction.

"playing on the rocks" (realistically known as rock climbing, something people can do) is a banable offence.
"non-serious" is both a word and used for anytime an admin doesn't like what you are doing and wants to ban for you it.
Admins are sometimes invisible and fly around and follow you, to make sure you are "playing by the rules"
There are hardly any traders and they don't accept applications because "there are enough of them" (not sure about that last part, dunno if the person who said it is affiliated with the caravans)
There are try-hards with 20 line lag inducing descriptions that /me everything ever (/me inhale. /me exhale.)
There are some nice players that roleplay pretty well and act normal (these guys are the best :)

Some suggestions:
Some sort of crafting system so normal players can be useful. Like seriously only admins and caravan people (which seem to be the same, but I think on the forums there were a few that were non-admin) can make anything ever.
Less locked containers. Like every container ever is locked, and lockpicking isn't a thing. The last part makes some sense because some asshole might go around stealing stuff, and we can't allow people to do bad things to us. (because we have to have order where admins tell us what to do...)
Skills like fallout? I don't know, not much is really making this fallout RP other than the map and factions. There are no animals (other than when an admin wants to play one), there is no radiation, etc.

I understand this is still in development, I just hope to provide some feedback from a player's point of view. I have lots of problem with the roleplay scene so some of that might come out in this, but overall so far this server doesn't set itself too much apart. Gonna keep playing to get more info and experience playing it though, and hopefully in the future it because more fallout-y.

Only played for a few days, still reserving final judgement but so far it seems fairly similar to a typical hl2 arr pee server just in a different setting.
