The year is 1969, just seven short years ago, the Cuban Missile Crisis left the world on the brink of destruction. Both the United States and USSR have kept a close eye on the rest of South America after this event, both fearing another crisis could lead to a real nuclear holocaust, yet both sides searching for a gap in the other's armor. The question is, will you willfully become a puppet in their plans, or break yourself from the shackles of the superpowers, and become your own nation?
THE FOREIGN RELATIONS SYSTEM: The USA and USSR both have relations bars with you, which can be influenced based on your decisions, it goes like this, from best to worst: Allied <-> Friendly <-> Cordial <-> Neutral <-> Skeptical <-> Unfriendly <-> Hostile For example, Cuba would have Unfriendly relations with the USA, but would be Allied with the USSR. "BUT HOW DOES IT AFFECT US?" You may ask. Well, you see, if your relations with a certain superpower are high enough, they will be more willing to trade with you, and you'd get better prices on their goods, as opposed to a nation with neutral or skeptical relations with them. On the other end of the spectrum, if your relations are low with a superpower, they may decide to try and subvert your populace, or even may declare outright war on you. A war which is very unlikely you would win. How do you prevent a superpower that doesn't like you from going to war or trying to force revolution? You get your relations high enough with the OTHER superpower, of course! A nation that is only neutral with the USSR but hostile with the USA is a ripe target for some freedom, but if they were allied with the USSR, the USA would think twice before trying to take them on.

YEAH FUCKIN GREAT, BUT HOW DO I TURN? Initial Turn (your first turn) Nation/Group Name - No prizes for guessing what this is for. Flag - A maximum of 250x150 px or eat shit. Other turns (this includes the rest of your first turn) Military Affairs - Actions affecting your nation's military (such as reworking of the military or invasions of other countries) Internal Affairs - Actions affecting the internal workings of your country (such as infrastructure, government, etc) External Affairs - Actions affecting NPC nations. Diplomatic Affairs - Actions affecting player-run nations. Technological Advancement - Technology what you did make. (Put down 3 and 2 will be chosen.) Each turn will last for six months.

VIVE LA REVOLUCION! or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Communism. As a revolutionary group, you have a relations bar much like official nations, just slightly tweaked, and superpowers will instead view you as so: Protector of Freedom/the People <-> Supportive <-> Interested <-> Insignifigant <-> Weary <-> Threat <-> Enemy of Freedom/the People If a nation views you as a threat, they may send advisers, troops and equipment to the country you're liberating to make it more difficult to win your revolution. Subsequently, if a superpower views you as a Protector of the People (in the USSR's case), you may receive aid such as equipment and cash to further your efforts. HOW TO STIR UP COMMUNISM IN 4 EASY STEPS (Americans HATE this!) Home Country (In the initial turn) - Where are you gonna stir up some shit? Aims (In the initial turn) - For example, Leninist/Marxist, Capitalist, Religious Cult? Arms Deals (replaces technology) - Getting new toys to use in your fight for the people! You can purchase them from local governments or if you are friendly with or can afford them, the USSR/USA. Funding (replaces Internal Affairs) - You're not really bothered about the inner machinations of the country until the occupying devils are stopped! Try to get funding from your friendly neighborhood Communist, or the local superpowers if your support is high enough.
LISTEN UP LOSERS I CAN ONLY HANDLE 7 PEOPLE IN THIS RP SO FIRST COME FIRST SERVE JUST LIKE STALIN'S SOUP KITCHEN FIRST TURNS DUE IN BY SATURDAY 11 JUNE
