hitman /hɪtman/ noun, informal: A person who is paid to kill someone, especially for a criminal or political organization. Hey, that sounds a bit like your job... Probably should've put more effort into this banner Welcome to [del]Hitman[/del] Hitm(e)n, a game of assassination and possibly the worst idea since I last tried something like this a couple of years ago. You are a hitman, an assassin, a bounty hunter, a hired gun, what have you. And the hitman industry is doing pretty well in the current year of 2017. A lot of rich bastards want other rich bastards dead, and there's a lot of money to be made. Unfortunately, punk-ass posers are also out for the gold. What happens when you get half a dozen rookies all competing to kill the same dude? I'll tell you what ain't gonna happen, a clean job. Signup: (Post in thread)
Hitman's Name: Employer (May be freelance): Speciality* (Pick one): (Optional) Bio: (Who are you? Just a plain ol' assassin? A petty criminal shooting for the stars? A secret agent? A shinobi? You tell me.) (Optional) Appearance: (Optional) Shitty picture: *What's a speciality you ask? Well, it's what a hitman excels at. For example, a strong hitman may be better at hand to hand combat, and not be slowed down by weight as much, a nimble hitman may be faster and more agile, climbing things and sneaking around with ease. All hitmen can shoot a gun and probably hit their target, but dexterous hitmen are far better at controlling the recoil on automatic weapons, or landing precise shots at range. Likewise, anybody can wear a disguise, or attempt to pull a bluff, but smooth hitmen are on a whole different level. They also get all the ladies, the bloody casanovas.
Turn Format: Hitm(e)n will be divided into Missions, in which all the hitmen have a chance to complete their objectives and escape. Each mission is divided into two phases: Preparation and Action. During Preparation, the target, location(With a shitty map!) and information on the job will be posted in the thread. Each hitman will then (privately) send a list of gear they want to bring with them(A car is highly recommended both for carrying the gear and for transport), and optionally, a rough overview of their plan. You may also choose to investigate a single aspect of the target(such as their schedule, hobbies or favourite food) or location(such as security, escape routes or hidden paths) before the mission. If you want to investigate more, you'll have to do it on-site during the Action phase. The gear may be anything you want that actually exists, but remember that there are a lot of things you don't want to be seen with. This is also the time to shittalk your fellow hitmen. The Action phase is divided into turns, which last for anywhere between five minutes and an hour of in-game time. During this time, each hitman sends their next course of action. Of course, there are a lot of things that can happen within five minutes, so this will likely involve multiple PMs. Risky actions or gambits will have their outcome determined by RNG, so good luck. Public updates on the general situation will happen every turn, but most of your actions will be unknown unless you make enough of a ruckus. This means no hitman knows the identity or whereabouts of other hitmen, unless they end up revealing themselves. Notes: Death is permanent, so don't fuck up! That being said, you'd have to fuck up pretty hard to actually end up dead instead of hospitalized. You're allowed to cooperate with other hitmen, but only one can get the bounty! You could agree to split it... but honour amongst thieves is just a myth, right? You can also fight other hitmen, although none of you know who the other hitmen are until they reveal themselves. Activity is on a mission-by-mission basis, once a mission has started, all new signups will be able to join next mission. Likewise, if you're going to drop out, try to do it once the mission is over(or once you're out of it) Be creative, and have fun!
Hitman's Name: Kaspar Lions Employer: Freelance Speciality: Dexterous Bio: Former rifleman gone-mercenary, Kaspar Lions was neither highly decorated nor was he liked among his comrades in the Army. Discharged from service after getting into one too many fistfights with his peers and officers Kaspar was later hired (and later fired) by a secretive PMC hired to conduct "security enhancing operations" in Syria on behalf of the Russian Federation and the Assad Regime. After getting caught on tape while shooting up a street full of civilians Kaspar was fired and had his entire career nuked. Now he ventures the globe as a freelancing mercenary for hire. With no morals to speak of and a need to stay afloat he'll take up almost any gig as long as it pays good. Former clients attest to his abilities of completing an objective, while also keeping quiet regarding the often massive collateral damages caused and severe drinking problems.
