The year is 2460. Throughout history, planets have developed their own stories of prosperity and downfalls. FTL has made interstellar travel possible while other civilizations interact with the politics of space. However, this isn’t that story. A world designated Ultanor begins to develop its own chapter in the universe. Humans alongside other races travel to the world in hopes of conquest, freedom or untold riches. Whether it’ll be the rise of tribes, empires, or kingdoms their actions through noble or unorthodox means will determine their planet’s future.
The Imperial Frontiers have begun…

Imperial Frontiers is a Sci Fi Colonization game. The game takes place in Ultanor, a world beginning to experience its chapter in history as nations take part in shaping it as they see fit. The 25th Century has opened a wider scope of technology from synthetic lifeforms to weapons of mass destruction. Each nation can form alliances, conquer land, possibly developing superweapons. You and others will make an impact upon the soil of the world, act carefully. Because not everyone has the same interests as yours. Character roleplaying is also allowed for a chance of creative freedom.
Circle out which spot you want on the map. Other than that, good luck!
Rules:
1. No godmodding
2. No bitch fighting
3. If you have some problems, talk to me. We'll work them out.
Technology Guidelines
Medicine is better than ours in real life
Weaponry so far has Ballistic, Kinetic, Lasers and Plasma
Superweapons exist but require an abundant amount of resources and time.
Everyone will start off on the same balance. Assume nations not of the world travelled with basic technology through expeditions.

TURN 1: Beginnings
2460-2463
Events;
- Several natives prospered in their respectful communities, small but stable. In the following three years there were three types of natives: Tribes, Kingdoms, and in some rarity outposts hidden underneath the terrain. These communities were independent, self serving to their own. The natives were scattered throughout Ultanor, serving as a reminder the world grew active.
- A nonsentient species, mainly the Talons migrated to the north from the equator. The Talons then claimed small territory in order to make up their old homes from the south. From then on they marked every inch, intent on protecting it from devious invaders.
- An unknown group of settlers adorning armor clad in ancient metal begin to construct small pillars along side towers, presumely in order to form a small town. By 2463, the settlers finished building their settlement, declaring the name Amdale.
The Gattlands
Leader: Rask lok Viss
- The Gattlands have marked the island in the upper north. In order to understand the world they're dwelling they must learn its resources and species living on its soil. The Gatt sent multiple scouting drones to survey the surrounding geography. With their advantage in interstellar travel they have managed to at least learn the major species and tribes detailing the western part of Ultanor. After discovering several tribes such as the Bato and the Tuvo, the Gatt sought out the cultures and languages. Wishing to study. Soon after the Gatt sent out drones, spying on the tribes that were close. Unlike others, the Bato spoke through sign language, using gestures and hand signals to communicate with each other. The Gatt labelled this form of communication as Haji. The Tuvo spoke through mouth to mouth, speaking in slurs. This would be called Gorashi. Although the Gatt wasn't about to study the entirety of other cultures and languages at least two communities close would suffice for now.
- The military of the Gatt were dominant in their government, a military junta. With their numbers they were capable of mounting moderate scale operations. This led to an advantage against tribemen. In 2461 after studying the Bato, the Gatt decided to raise their studies through physical means. A member of the Bato, wandered outside of the zone, hunting the wildlife for food and leather. The Gatt launched a group from the colony and took the member by surprised with expected resistence. The Bato member was taken to the colder parts of the region where he slowly grew cold, getting frostbite from his limbs. Once the Gatt returned the specimen was already dead, factors such as poor health, hypothermia, and malnutrition. Regardless, the Gatt kept the body for future uses.
Meanwhile the Gatt took in consideration of others among the world, knowing the consequences of a poorly defended colony being a junta they formed a guard made up of the most experienced and brutal of the colony.
- The colony of Ultanor was subpar to say the least. The safe option was to improve their surveillance and senses for their island. While sensor technology wasn't a new concept it was something that could be improved on. The Gatt made sure to develop their sensor based off of temperature and light, forming the basis of an electronic capable of detecting lifeforms. Later they sought a technology in robots, believing their usefulness in being expendable and processing superior strength. This would provide a working force to increase production. In 2462 the Gatt studied multiple designs on what would be the best, choosing a bipedal type. They then formed a prototype as a result. Unfortunately the Gatt had no viable resources to forge these machines en masse.
- The government of Jatt'lok decided to set up a planned economy. In theory the high authority would be able to control labor and capital to pursue their economic interests but also allow home-brewed business and an enterprise system. In the span of three years, Jatt'lok's economy was regulated by the Junta, however without large enough resources the Gatt weren't sure where to go from here, leaving their system confused.
- Since 2460, the Gatt have established their first colony as Jatt'lok, claiming most of the island as K'roll. They've also sent out drones detailing their presence in the north and started to focus developing Jatt'lok on a basic level. Infrastructure started from rushed roads and poor work morale but seems to be getting done, abeit slowly.
The Sqarak Confederacy
Leader: Macanaq
- The Sqarak are no slouch to combat and are used to their environment. But they see mean for better protection, weaponry. The Sqarak forged their armor from bone, having no steel around while sewing leather from their prey. They formed spears using wood and sharpened stone. Small slabs of metal were tampered and harassed by blacksmiths, creating an acceptable amount of swords for the military. Though dull in equipment each soldier had a weapon in hand, preparing for the worst. The Sqarak also founded a royal guard specificly made for their glorious leader Macanaq, but wearing dull armor made up of scrap and dead metal, feathers emphazing their horrid look.
The Sqarak with a large presence sent out scouting parties to the north, hoping to find more fur and people. The objective took weeks, if not days and later by the end of the month the Sqarak were left empty handed, the mission a waste of time. The leader Macanaq believed it was time to better coordinate the packs, needing other men in charge to lead the young ones to battle. He founded a corp comprised of officers, made from the most experienced and oldest.
- From their agriculture the Sqarak began to focus on growing more, allowing the farmers to expand the irrigation canals outwards, during the years they managed to drain excess and make unused carcasses into fertilizer by plowing them to mush. Crops grew drastically as a result. The government sent packs to hunt their neighboring preys for their precious hides and leathers. They've began to stockpile and increase their supplies, adding up to a starting but small amount. This would come in handy for other parts of the world. Taking advantage of their territory the Confederacy attempted to expand the small enough ports to accommodate for a merchant port, in time merchant ship traveled to the port for trade and gave various items for the Sqarak such as silver. A few hunters also traded mounts to the Sqarak for resources.
- The government of the Sqarak have decided to place an order forbidding the consumption of sentient beings unless it is during a famine or under sacrifice. The order took place soon after where several Sqarak have obeyed, however others not so much. The people who were against this decree left in search of new places. The leaders wanted the Sqarak to at least be civilized, wishing their people to pursue knowledge by creating archives throughout the territory, creating buildings akin to libraries. The people were intrigued, coming to these buildings in doves.

Nelfgardian Empire
Leader: Basilio I of House Basilius
Species: Nelfgardian
Leader: Emperor Basilio I of House Basilius
Type of Government: Absolute Monarchy
Economy Type: State-regulated Capitalism
Biography:
The Nelfgardian Empire originally had made their home on another world, however over time their home became ever more inhospitable as their climate changed with volcanoes spewing gases and the sun growing ever hotter. Forced with no other choice, Emperor Basilio, the first of his name, led what remained of his people on an large space-faring ship with an experimental faster-than-light drive to find a new home. As they left their dying world, they looked onward to the stars as they searched for a new home. Years passed as they traveled from star system to star system, looking for a place to call home, but all they found were barren worlds, devoid of life. However, one day, they stumbled upon a system with a single world, with a biosphere and climate that was habitable. Emperor Basilio would call this world "Shen'wai", or in human tongue "The Promised Land", and now seeks to rebuilt what his people had lost.
- The Empire longed for a home after the series of the past left them into stagnation. They focused on forming their army which was to survey the peninsula and see what others dwelled. The most notable was the pack of the Monkeros, ground dwelling omnivorous creatures who lived in large groups. The Empire hurried on rebuilding the former glory of their military back in their old homeworld. They started to found the Imperial Army alongside the navy and the air force. Recruiting young abled recruits was the first step in a good military. By 2461 recruits however were lazy, undisciplined, unlike of the old military back on the old world. The Empire commenced ship building for the navy, developing small vessels. Although they weren't battleships yet they were good enough as a foundation.
To protect the territory from threats the Empire build watch towers and turrets, unfortunately because of the undisciplined grunts watch guards were frequent to not notice any small oddities.
- The Empire's starting technology were lasers, useful from military to metal working, construction, anything. The Monarchy focused on the one technology and improved efficiency, ways to make lasers more dangerous and conserving ammo.
- The Empire's economy needed to be set up quickly before things could spiral out of stability. They founded several corporations with specific goals such as mining, construction, refinement, and agriculture. Miniscule with some hic ups the corporations were just hitting their first steps. The government also gave regular citizens some wealth to head start their own businesses. During the years some citizens with businesses were intent on wanting more than the usual, exploiting workers and taking a bit of corporate warfare on their hands.
- The Empire's domestic affairs laid permanent settlements with homes for the civilian population. The leader of the Empire, Basilio The First gave inspiring morale throughout the colonies, emphasizing the importance of honest work, while it inspired the populace it did not seem to faze the employed corporations under the empire that much, seemingly resuming on the same tactics as before. The Empire gave a budget regarding communications and travel, this would make sure the Empire didn't go overboard on travel to other places. Finally the Nelfgardians founded an academy for the Engineering and the Sciences to seek out the best and brightest the Empire will use for the future. The Academy was constructed by 2463 and already the youngest seem to heads towards for their own lives at hand.

Fusang
Leader: Governor Sun Zhenya
- The first Chinese to ever settle upon Ultanor. The Fusang began to seek diplomatic relations between its neighbors, the Shinkira Kingdom and fewer tribes located near the coast. The Fusang scheduled a diplomatic goal and spread the word out for contact. Hearing this message by 2461 the King of the Shinkira was intrigued but cautious.
- The Fusang was quick on making sure safety of the colonists was a number one pritority. The first step was the foundation of a colonial guard. Their mission was to provide protection. Armed with standard terran guns the guard watched over, guarding the colony along time.
- The Fusang believed a mixed economy was a good start, basing it off from the old People's Republic of China, the government alongside citizens took part in business. As such the government have the power to regulate the market as they see fit, working towards a strong economy. As a result the people are somewhat disappointed, others wishing for a new system in place for the 25th century.
- Xiangbala was founded as the capital of Fusang's colony, built by young workers and polished to serve as a powerful symbol to the people. Around the territory the colony placed agriculture as a starting point through farms, fisheries, and solar power.
The Vrekla Alliance
Leader: High Chief Orzakeyeth
- The Vrekla longed for more members to join its alliance. The Vrekla looked to its neighbors such as the Tuvo and the Vox tribes. However if the High Chief were to do this it would have to be peaceful. People of the Vrekla traveled outside, contacting with the tribes to offer them membership to the alliance. Although the potential of joining seemed promising the Tuvo were not convinced to join so sudden, but not dismissing the idea entirely. The Vox on the other hand dismissed the idea immediately prefering to stick as one and always one.
- After diplomacy giving mixed results. The Vrekla decided brute force. The alliance sent out their troops on the outskirts of the Vox, bringing spears, swords, and crossbows with them. The Vox would not stand for this threatening presence and armed their own with similar tools of war. The Vox were preparing for a war that could determine their entire existence. The Vrekla and Vox were preparing for something big.
- Meanwhile as the Vrekla scientists improved science and engineering in general they sought out to focus on weaponry, the system itself and other means to get by without traveling on mounts or on foot. The scientists of the alliance cooperated together to make a breaththrough in their history. By 2463 they developed a prototype for a weapon capable of shooting projectiles using gunpowder. Later they also used the fullest sail knowledge to get by around the peninsula much faster than they had expected. The infrastructure among settlements cooperated to improve their homes, expanding roads and putting more people to work.
- The alliance didn't change anything on its economy yet, still keeping a fishing based economy and letting it grow insteading of changing progress. The people were therefore content so far.
- A council by 2463 was formed in a decision to represent all tribes of the alliance. The council will be comprised of the chiefs in charge of each tribe and the ultimate member will be the High Chief, who is elected by the members. In theory, the High Chief has the final word in new laws and control over the military. The High Chief's vision will be decided for the future of the alliance. This position will be held until death. Though initally the members of each tribes understand this concept the idea of the position til death seems troubling. Others begin to talk in hushed words about it.
The Vrekla Alliance vs The Vox Tribe
The Gattlands vs The Bato Tribe
-The Shinkira Kingdom began to reform their military with musket like guns and trained new recruits into professional soldiers.
- A large colony ship arrived in the center in one of the main continents. The settlers were packing plasma weaponry and displayed large tanks. By 2466 they have successfully established a colony. They were called The Sanctum. Later they began to scout ahead, increasing their influence.

Leader: Basilio I of House Basilius
- Seeing their armies in shame and untrained the government of the Empire wanted to developed a more hierarchic system for the military. A chain of command was put in place, the Grand General was in charge of the Imperial Army meanwhile the Grand Admiral would oversee the Imperial Navy. Both officer corps were principles of leaderships for the enlisted to follow. A doctrine was created to put the minor grunts of the military to shape and learn proper conduct. The grunts were slow to learn and somewhat resistant. However by the end of 2466 they grew to become professionals, soldiers of war. The Imperial Navy was called upon to expand and create more larger classes to keep up with the old standard. In execution wasn't so easy. Ships like destroyers and carriers were complicated and required hundreds of manpower from technicians to engineers and other jobs. By the time the military expanded their arsenal with a cruiser class production in factories couldn't keep up with the heavy request. A small scouting expedition was sent from the newly formed chain of command to find new locations for possible settlements. A few days later the commander of the expedition reported to his superiors about the southeast. The location was carrying a herd of Talons but also a large waterfall dubbed The Great Fall.
- The main course of energy for the foreseeable future planned was nuclear power. Not only would this power settlements, but also things like ships. Scientists of the Empire dedicated their starting work hours finding a way to implement this energy source. By 2466 there were major set backs concerning how to get the proper uranium. The resource was there but as of that moment there wasn't enough to accommodate for every usage.
- With the set up of corporations monopolies across the civilization left workers exploited and management living it large. The government has placed their boots down, reforming their system in every step of the way. The government enacted anti monopolies laws to make sure their corporations weren't taking advantage people below. Meanwhile the Imperial Worker's Rights Act was passed shortly after. Workers were paid enough to spend their earnings to essentials and entertainment.
- The Empire sent expedition after expedition to the north, making tiny port towns. Though they were start they didn't provide any good output to their empire until years to come.
At the center of the entire Empire was construction of the Grant Capitol City plans. It took three for them to produce half of the Capitol. Development nevertheless continued, abeit slowly. And soon...

- Since the Tuvo were intrigued by the idea of the alliance. The Alliance gave their efforts to convince member of the tribe the benefits of joining. Vrekla sent a diplomat as a representative. The high ranking members of the tribe was called 'Ty Pao' In a meeting Ty Pao and the Vrekla diplomat considered talks of joining. But Ty Pao gave a condition that its people will be treated fairly well. The diplomat returned a day later reporting the meeting.
- The Vox were at war with the Vrekla. With the development of gunpowder, the militistic side of the Alliance joined together to harness weaponry based on the technology sector. The Alliance traded blunt attacks against the Vox who were armed with swords and spears ulitizing row formations.
Roll: [4]
Although they wielded new weaponry the battle between the Vrekla and the Vox wasn't as one sided as it should have been. The Tuvo managed to score a dent in their enemies, killing dozens before the remaining Vrekla overwhelmed them with sheer numbers. The battle was a small victory for the Alliance. But the Vox weren't going to go easy next time...
- By 2464 the Alliance invented several uses for gunpowder, such as smoke grenades and dynamite. The civilians also had an interest for the technology, scientists attempting to develop armor that would resist things like ballistic. While the concept proves promising, the Alliance scientists had no breakthrough regarding armor.
- Overreliance on fishing led to worries that the Alliance would only rely on that primary resource. Therefore several local businesses were made in an effort to stray away. Because of the climate it was been difficult to find a signifiant resources other than coastal based. Thus the Alliance took mining into consideration. By 2465 miners took shift and searched for fresh spots.
- A ban on fishing using explosives has occured. Fishermen who gained interest using gunpowder were outraged, some even daring enough to disobey. As a result people were incarsarated. The Council of the Alliance encouraged more public buildings such as schools and academies. Education was for once a priority for the population. To get a better understanding the young ones went to school enmasse.

- The Gatt made sure to explore outward among their island. They sent vessels to the main continent as they called it Hettlok. The Gatt scouts spotted several settlements. These settlements wore fur clothing and wielded weaponry that fired ballistic projectiles. It appeared they act in cooperation to each other. These settlements would be called the Serrated.
- The Bato Tribe were at a peaceful time. Members calmly gathering food and building shanty shelters for their familes. But everything changed when the Gattland Nation attacked. A full company worth of soldier marched through their territory, equipped with laser firearms. The Bato immediately gathered hunters and guards to defend their houses every action it took.
Roll: [10]
In a standstill the company worth of soldiers took the majority of the hunters and guards by force. Killing them with ease. Limps and bodies piled up in villages while innocents were captured. The result of the battle was a crushing defeat for the Bato as the Gatt made them labor workers for the Empire. No hesitation. No mercy.
- The development of war robots had went slow from the start. However with the prototype created the Gatt managed to find a way to build a cheap and effenient way to build these bipedal robots. By 2466 the Gatt made a batch worth of robots, not exceeding their high expectations but it was something. Meanwhile scientists took samples of anything on the island, flora that could help out their surroundings in the long run. Taking things back they gave names to specific types of plants such as Ickmeps and Balloras. Studying the Ickmeps gave signs of that of a regenerative process when one gave a precise cut to the root stem, healing itself in less than 10 seconds. With that a research facility was planned in the northtip of the K'roll.
- The Gatt required new territory, and craved for expansion. They rushed for new settlements, placing 60% of their new settlers to make way. But the majority wished to look for opportunities in the main colonies instead. Overall only 20% went for the new settlements, barely starting up the colonies than the standard expectation.
- Their drones in the mainlands increased searching for minerals and resources that would help the settlements greatly. By 2465 the Gatt have read reports of iron and gold unharmed by the colonizers among Ultanor. Knowing this the Gatt set about to mine the shit out of these resources whenever they could. Starting off with a small mining outpost, dispatching with hardcore labor from Bato slaves. Only having to overwatch any fleeing members. Come 2466, Gatt workers took the resources from the outpost and improved on their roads and public buildings, upgrading their infrastructure. Their robots continuing to develop by product.

- The Empire established their dominant force throughout the continent and strive to keep it that way for everyone to see. They placed defensive measures to keep a lookout to the outskirts of the territory preparing watchmen with rifles and patrols 24/7. Its naval officers were ordered to scout ahead using their acceptable ships. As the navy ventured to the sea they witnessed large sea lifeforms displaying large tentacles and a large eye that stared endlessly. But yet it never attacked. In addition, based on the previous expedition another one assembled this time lasting for more than a year. The group was sent back to establish a checkpoint for the empire and a possible land gain. By 2467 the group returned, reporting the land could be habitable with lack of any source of environmental hazard.
- The empire wished for a new vehicle that could be fast, and well armored enough to transport dozens of men onto the battlefield. With this in mind the engineers and scientists already have a good base to work on. R&D worked hard to collect data based on their territory and what vehicle is viable enough to travel on the terrain. By 2469, the team developed a working prototype titled Jaguar 0. Jaguar was plated with lightweight armor from the front to the rear.
- The Empire invested into a stock market for its citizens and the companies that would eventually be founded. Soon the stock market's investor came in like a swarm and the first big companies took advantage and shares were getting bought out like no tomorrow. Unfortunately this meant that smaller businesses and newcomers couldn't compete against the big men. Despite the Regulations and ISEC stepping in to make sure speculation doesn't run rampant. They would have to compete on the same strength as theirs. But such is the way for Capitalism.
- The Empire realizes the conditions across its own and ignored the potential for expansion. Construction increased and became frequent as roads and highways were developing. Power conduits were being connected everywhere from cell towers to houses, public buildings. With the 24th Century this would only go ever faster in the process. The Grand Capitol was adequate but wasn't up to the high standard of the Government. In a sacrifice the Empire diverted its infrastructure budget to make sure the Capitol became greater. Several citizens took notice and those poor expressed outrage to its governed, wishing for more representation. As a response to this outcry the Government made sure to found a 5 day 50 hour work policy and create a national holiday called Pilgrimage Day.
- The Conglomerate came crashing through Ultanor's atmosphere, visible to virtually anyone observing the skies. The initial point of impact was marked by a large crater and deep tracks embedded in the ground. Four scanner probes were launched in each cardinal direction: north, south, east and west. The information being relayed through a neural network between the ship's AI and the probes themselves. This would continue until spare bodies can be woken up as the years went by. Until then, the process was slow.
- By 2468, several androids awoken and finally went out to explore the land with possibility. The androids carried light laser rifles and patrolled the site and were suggested to engage only if necessary. If the threshold was broken then lethal force was guaranteed.
- After getting pressured til the point of exhaustion the Tuvo agreed for settling with the Alliance for help. Several Tuvo members however were led to distraught and decided to go about their own ways. In return the Alliance will grant housing for the others and make sure they are treated well.
- The war between the Vox have led to outrageous skirmishes as the soldiers of the alliance used gunpowder for smoke tactics and wielded rifles, abeit slow to reload and clunky. The Vox smithed their tools for yet another battle. Meanwhile scouts were sent outwards in hopes for expansion and taming the wild beasts. Soon after the scouts came in with white piles of fur, claws for feet and fanged teeth. These mounts would be called Polar Boers. With the call of war against the Vox, the Alliance desperately wanted to put these mounts on the battlefield but small time given between traveling distance put that short term dream for the next battle down.
Roll: [6]
The last battle between the two was a mixed result and even surprised the Alliance that the Vox fought on even if they were horrendously outnumbered and outgunned. Persistent to the end. The Battle of Nox laid 1,000 Vox warriors while the other end had twice as much, going for 2,000 men and women. The Alliance made the first move by assault, engaging the tribals with guns then the melee second, clashing head on as spears killed the front line rapidly. The defense line became overwhelmed and the swarm of soldiers came in more than the Vox killed. The Nox village was invaded as hundreds of fighters crowded the streets, heads decapitated while coordination became a mess.
The battle lasted for three hours before it concluded with a victory for the Alliance. Although victory was assured the battle came at a horrible cost of 323 men killed, 879 wounded.
- The Battle of Nox proved to be devastating for the families and based on battle analysis the military needed to be worked on. The alliance took the flaws of their rifles and made sure what to improve on in their designs and mechanisms. The engineers at work put their newest product to the testing ground, firing at light targets. As a whole the rifle was giving a more sleek design and could hold up to 10 rounds before a fast reload.
- As the search for military advancement grows the economy of the Alliance has mining effort increase exponentially, using dynamite and creative means to plow through rock and stone.
- In addition specialized programs were made in public school to give better opportunities for the special and exceptionally gifted in works to train them to be better individuals.
Leader: Leader: Rask lok Viss
- The Gatt were at the Bato's doorstep as their own approaches. From the decisive victory the Gatt landed against the Bato they had to keep the momentum up to fully annex their enemy at last. Rask Lok Viss showed up personally, giving the biggest ultimatum that could determine the fates of the tribe. Serve him. Or...
Die.
The Bato's chief leaders reluctantly refused at first but the videos of the last battle showed enslavement and slaughtered ones by these alien creatures. They saw something so vile and evil it wasn't worth the lives of many. The tribal leaders went side by side, staring at the representatives, bowing down with defeated looks on their faces. The Bato were forcefully annexed.
Rask grew pleased.
- The Gatt focused on the march on war technology after their success with the Bato on their large island. Their robots were the first action, armoring them with lightweight plates and steel. Improving on their sensors and giving them faster command responses. Their robots were finally up to combat standard and the possibilities were endless. They began to be manufactured en masse, churning out small batches but hopefully large later. Foundations for terraforming tools and cybernetics for the empire gave interest to the science community but so far they seem to be busy developing new things for their current arsenal such as the robots. Small science teams set about collecting world data on ways to find how can they change the environment while engineers worked on ideas about augments and exosuits.
- Because of the newly claimed land from the Bato the Gatt fishing industries boomed to the outskirts of the island, becoming jackpots for business. To them this was an easy credit grab for years.
- Others studied the flora such as Ickmeps on their island, trying to figure out a way how can a flora heal itself with a cut. Material of the root was collected and observed on a microscopic level, seeing parasitics grow on a cellular level and expanded when another cut was made on a plant. The discovery led to believe that the parasitics and the plant itself shared a relationship. A small expedition made up of 'devoted' slaves and Gatt over watching the packs traveled to the north by boat. By 2469 they set up an outpost, making sure they had good communication to the mainland. With limited supplies they needed to act quick before disaster hits.
Sanctum Colony
A robot watched on screen television at a bar, tapping his fingers against the counter. As events outside Ultanor grew the robot grew bitter and careless. He tipped his hat to the bartender as she placed the glass, pouring a content of whiskey.
"I didn't know you could drink alcohol." She perked up interest, turning around to watch the news. The robot nodded, looking at her mouthless face but glowing eyes. A neckcollar illuminated, a speaker at the center where the robot viewed.
"I can feel, Miss. Don't worry about it." He grabbed the drink, pouring it down to its mouth. The bartender lit up, impressed. She sat down, hearing the concerning matters on several Soldats capturing the Serrated Tooth members. The bartender watched the news reporters Iota Mea and Nalm Florzack discussed topics.
Nalm placed an elbow on the table, "It's a matter of urgency. People everywhere want to feel safe but only these superpowers are capable of pulling them in. You have pirates and criminals scattered about forming their own alliance and trying to secure their place in the Galaxy. Why exactly do you think refugees come in waves?" He exclaimed which Iota slowly nodded.
"Sure, but I think that's not necessarily a bad thing. Several states do not frown upon refugees, they'll willing to help out whenever possible. The Combine have reason to extend their hands to the unfortunate." Iota pointed out as Nalm grew irritated.
"You're missing the biggest problem that's out there. States aren't doing a damn thing taking out these criminals and putting them to cells. The only person who's directly fighting these men and women is Roan Larkin and you know what's my opinion about him." Nalm crossed his arms, leaning back against his chair.
"True, but I doubt anyone would want to oversee these harsh conditions and work on establishing a permanent solution. How many states would prefer working independently rather than overseeing the Galaxy?" Iota asked.
"UGC worked well until the Odenia incident. Why can't it be done again?"
The bartender turned around, seeing the robot dwelling in its thoughts. "Always a reason to move sometimes." She muttered, getting herself a glass of water, focusing on consuming the content through telepathy.
"That's why we came here isn't it?" The robot looked up, watching the woman. The bartender did the same to the robot. Curious.
"Suppose so. Opportunities, safe haven." She brightened her cheeks. "All we have. Might as well keep at living til a big break happens."
The robot nodded, seeing outside the window and looking at the lush land filled with wildlife and a barren place to settle down til hell frozed over. He tipped his duster, "Yeah, this is what we got now." He remarked the same statement, seeing a hand flew in front. An extended hand.
"Phoebe Taito." She squinted.
The robot stared at her emotionless, until he curved his mouth to a smirk. He gave a firm handshake before saying his name.
"Preston. Preston Stanford."
"Why'd you come here?" Phoebe asked, leaning forward. Preston nodded, raising his eyes towards the ceiling.
"Looking for work. Always, til I move on. Your turn." He pointed to her.
"Well." She tapped her fingertips, "I was from the Empire til I decided I'd leave. Have a nice house in the country. No worries, no bullshit. I landed a busy job with Sanctum. Not a career, just to start me off." She expressed her affable attitude outwards. "Not the planning type, but once I have enough credits I'll move to Versis."
Preston tiled his head, gears turning at the mention of Versis. He raised an eye. "Of all places?"
"I know but it offers a lot for migrants out there. If anything, it could be the best option I have right now."
"Not here?" He pointed towards the counter, signaling her to shake her head in response. Phoebe rubbed the back of her neck, almost as if she was still contemplating on things. "I don't know. Ultanor looks nice but, it's like I'm cuting all ties to my life. I have a sister who's still out there with Father. Yoko is someone I can't leave sitting in the East. And what happens when Father, passes away?" She turned to the side, rubbing her fingers. Preston nodded, almost remembering a specific part of his life where things weren't going as well as they hoped to be.
"Family comes first. Remember that." Preston quoted from a memory. Phoebe turned to the robot, barely hearing what he mentioned, "Pardon?"
"Your family, you can depend on them. Even through these events out there." He pointed on the holotv. Surviving was harsh but it was tolerated when you had loved ones by your side. Phoebe dwelled on this fact, somewhat understanding what he was trying to tell her. "Yeah. You're right." She slowly pulled out a card, detailing notes about her personal information. The robot was confused for a second.
"In case I leave this place. I could always talk to someone out there." Preston gave a thumbs up, rising from his stool. He pulled out a few extra credits, about a thousands worth. Phoebe widened her eyes, watching him just set down a lot.
"That's too much. I don'-"
"Don't worry. You've got a friend in me." He tipped his hat, brushing pass his scarf to the side, walking out the door with the clothes and a gun by his side.
The bartender chuckled, Into the sunset he goes.

Leader: Rask lok Viss
- Since the days of colonization were the Gatt Empire. Their hunger for conquest led to the first battle from the Bato, armed with tools of the old where their own soldiers were equipped with futuristic guns. The Bato were enslaved. Men were placed in submission doing their bidding regardless of their cruelty. Few ever stepped in and rebelled but were put down, permanently. Soon other tribes and Kingdom fell to their ambitions. Rask lok Viss, growing old, took measures to put a lease and encouraged the new generation to follow their elders. The Gattland Army gained more power and the Military was favored over everything. A Pure Military Junta.
- At the start, The Gattland colonies were less developed than their military. They were focused on a strict sense of expansionism. With land came more responsibility and at a time created instability for the citizens of K'noll. Eventually problems arised when the Empire annexed claimed land, resulting in starved slaves and revolts, unmaintained roads, and worse, rebellions. By 2473 the next leader in line put a stop to the terrorists and went by the strategy “Hearts and Minds.” Which meant that domestic improvements like rebuilding roads and a total overhaul of infrastructure would bring happiness to their people. Distracting them from the real ambitions.
The leader faced off with several mining operations in the North, fielding armies with steel clad robots and Gatt officers overseeing campaigns. These battles were The Blitz Crusades. At first the Gatt struggled from clever strategies made by the enemies. Through lots of amount of manpower they overwhelmed the mining companies and seized their bases, with moderate casualties.
As the dominant power of the North, the Gatt swarmed their competition and had the will to turn Ultanor into their playhouse. With slavery and a full army at their disposal the Gatt will prevail through war!
Leader: Macanaq
- The Sqarak Confederacy held promise to one day taking the world of Ultanor by storm. Its King, confident at his ability to lead were successful in the first years. Arming his troops with spears and making sure settlements stocked supplies. Then later the entire system of the Confederacy began to slow down, lacking drive and motivation. Neighbors in the East took advantage by stealing food and kidnapping children of other tribes. Hearing of this the King set out to ransack these monsters and raze their families as retribution. Battles between the Sqarak and their neighbors upstarted a five year war. The Confederacy's armies lacking spirit and discipline were nearly repelled by the more fast tribes. The wars ended in Sqarak victory but proved a lost in the long term.
- Ending their wars, the Sqarak struggled in its quest to expand, its King later focused on regaining their losses. Reality first, Dream second. But the wars between their neighbors proved disastrous. Food shortages and the loss of soldiers made it harder for the Sqarak to send out efficient hunters. The domino effect settled in and starvation became a huge problem.
In uproar the people of the Sqarak revolted and demanded change and solutions. The King grew outraged, the dream, the future was at stake. These events would put Sqarak in a downspiral from recovery for a long time.

Leader: Basilio I of House Basilius
- The Nelfgardian prospered under the banner of House Basilius, adapting to its new environment and getting a glimpse of their future. Technological innovation produced vehicles such as the Jaguar II and new plated armor to its soldiers. The lack of expansion proved useful in securing their borders and spending more time to domestic improvement. However, the lack of battles and conflict gave little for the military to fight. Eventually military leaders even dared to start seeking out to hunt the wildlife for sport. The Government chastised its soldiers, yet the military proved their opinions indifferent. Meanwhile its citizens grew content to their day of living, with the system such as Pilgrimage Day in place and eased work hours there was nothing that could go wrong.
Ultanor tourism boomed with Nelfgardians, seeking attractions and a desire to explore the world they are living in. With market regulation in place, small businesses had the chance to get a share of their industries, competing with the big league. Neighbor colonies traded and were customers to those businesses. Becoming somewhat of a market hub for Ultanor.
- Then in dark times Basilio I passed away, a heir from House Basilius took his place and gave expansion another try. This time reaching to the edge of the province. The influence of the Empire boomed and tribes migrated to their settlements starting urban life in the process.

After being shown their society the Kingdom wished to set up relations with Fusang. By 2470, both nations worked together to accelerate their own population and forge an alliance if the idea of invasion became reality. While the Chinese had no particular benefits of their own they developed safely.

Leader: High Chief Orzakeyeth
- The invention of gunpowder gave way to develop new types of weaponry and mining. The Alliance welcomed new tribes into the fray and treated them with respect just like any other species. Integrating, the tribes had one job: serve their Alliance and they shall receive better luck in the future. The promise was kept. More tribes joined from word of mouth by their neighbors, an Alliance with unity. The Council focused on their economies and improved relations to all sides of the spectrum, going to war as a last resort. Surprisingly an alliance of tribes were learning new things in thanks to its emphasize on education. The children of the Alliance were the priority, growing up to be bright scientists and civilized people. By 2485, the generation of the Alliance invented drills for mining, factories to refine materials. And guns that exploded with projectiles.
- Although the road wasn't easy the Alliance formed into a Democracy. Their eyes switch to the North as a greater evil awaits them for war. But whatever they were, they were most certainly ready. For these lands have taught them to use their full potential.
