"Aut inveniam viam aut faciam " - "I shall either find a way or make one"
-Hannibal
Enter the third century.
It is 300 BC. The massive empire of Alexander the Great has been divided among his generals, leaving his nation in the hands of those who helped him carve it out. In the West, a new civilization is rising in the Mediterranean stage: Rome. Vying for complete hegemony over the Italian peninsula, the republican Romans will stop at nothing to ensure they come out on top, even in the face of rivals from all directions. In Africa, the civilization of Carthage swells, constantly expanding its massive trading empire and accruing wealth and territory rivaling other civilizations of the day. In the East, the Seleucid Empire looms, threatening to engulf the other Middle Eastern Alexandrian civilizations as well as the smaller Kingdom of Armenia. In a world of uncertainty, borders are not drawn through diplomacy, but with blood and iron.
Anyways, I'm really new to GMing so bear with me :^) I tried to make the map as accurate to the era as possible, but do mind I also took some creative liberties with it.
Turn regulation and notes:
-Turns shall have a maximum of 15 lines.
-Lines shall be for one particular action only. Try to keep your lines short and concise, but if you feel you need to explain your action then do so.
-The technology section is not counted in the maximum lines rule
-Each turn will encompass 10 years.
Turn format:
(Please title your PMs like this: Turn (x): Country Name)
Military: All of your actions related to military such as procurement of supplies/arms, restructuring, attacks, defense, and expansion.

Diplomacy: All of your actions involving interaction with other civilizations (diplomacy between player nations MUST be present on each party's turn)
Domestic: All of your non-military actions regarding your own state such as laws, reforms, projects, etc.
Espionage: Any actions regarding spying, sabotage of defenses, or any other clandestine actions that you wouldn't want shown in the turn.
Research: Choose 3 technologies and I will pick 2. The third one may be also picked on occasion.
OOC: Optional section for going more in-depth with your turns and stuff like that. Really helps me to do my job. There's no limit to what you can put here.
If you want to create your own civilization (including separatist factions), amend this to your first turn:
Flag (max. 250x250 pixels): Your flag. Try to keep it era-appropriate.
Starting regions: Show me a picture of where you want your civilization (maximum size of 5 regions)
Culture type: Example: Germanic, Celtic, Persian, Italic
Capital: Your capital city/village, if applicable.
Description: Optional description of your civilization that I'll copy and paste into the turn.
Note: If you pick a particular culture, try to keep it confined to its historical region .Here's a useful reference: http://www.worldhistorymaps.info/images/East-Hem_300bc.jpg
Also, make sure to post your starting regions and whatever in the thread so others don't try to take your stuff.
Edited the base map somewhat. Removed the water borders and added "wasteland" areas (Meaning: Areas that were largely uninhabited or extremely difficult to live in).
[editline]19th October 2015[/editline]
Also edited Carthage's extent. Wouldn't know how to add borders to Numidia so I kept them relatively the same. I'll also get to making the provinces in Germany, Britain and Gaul a tad larger in order to let people expand faster
Thanx bud I appreciate it
Though if you want me to use the map leave the provinces alone since I go by land area anyways instead of pure province numbers
Ah, alright. Usually in these games it's a limited number of provinces you can take at a time as a custom nation, so I didn't want it to end up having 10+ turns just to make a sensibly large nation
It helps your specific case that your nation is nomadic, so the very way that you explained your turn benefits your expansion since your entire "nation" is essentially migrating in full force.
And of course each turn covers 10 years which is quite some time for a dedicated effort to relocate. Most tribal factions are covered by this nomadic aspect to some degree so I do take those things into consideration
I'll join, I can't pass this up....

you're gonna skip the 1st turn that's due in like 4 days?
Not this turn, next turn.
I'll allow it but I'm capping players at 7 or 8 and if someone takes your place you're done-eroni
[editline]21st October 2015[/editline]
And I have all the active turns but I haven't gotten to writing them just yet. I already prepared the map, howeve and I have a general outline of what I need to write. I do think I'll take like one more player and then start writing, but I'd like to get the turn out on friday or Saturday for sake of uniformity
[editline]21st October 2015[/editline]
What's your guys' opinions on intervals? Weekly? Bi-weekly?
you're gonna skip the 1st turn that's due in like 4 days?
Thing is, for some reason my computer is going whack when trying to send in my turn.
