Ok so i was playing team fortress with a friend of mine when we joined a server that loaded view models and textures to our computers.
The stupid thing is: These models and textures would not go away after leaving and joining other servers??
I have deleted them now and fixed it but it is still pretty stupid because a lot of people probably don't know how to do that.
Also: Since when can server force-install mods on computers? I played on mod servers in CSS and i didn't keep the models.
ps: Why this sucks: I for example got a can of beer instead of my beloved Jarathe and when i joined a pure server i could not see the jarathe and my hand was just 'empty'

Go to TF2 gcfs and copy all the model and texture files.
There's an option which decides what you download from a server.
Will you tell me where i can find that option?
