TF2 stops working when I die...

After about two weeks of abandoning TF2 and grinding Modern Warfare 2, I decided to dust off my laptop and play some 2Fort. It took about 5 minutes to update and play the game. The update may be the reason of this, but each time I died TF2 closed it self and a little message came up saying 'hl2.exe has stopped working'.
I tried this on different maps and servers and it still happens. The game runs fine before a death.
Please help.

Once you are good enough, your game will never crash.

Before making the "Game crash so you be good" puns. DO realize that after you win or lose a round , you do a death+instaspawn.

Also OP : try writing -autoconfig or verifying game files. Might have something to do with that. Otherwise, Does it crash when anyone else dies?

Thanks for the help. People on my team die and the other die but it doesn't affect me. It's still normal when I kill people too.

That is really odd, I suggest emailing a steam support person or maybe reinstall.

That's a possibility. I see my ragdoll flop to the ground, but when the killcam zooms in on my killer, it freezes, loops a small noise and then stops working.
