Awesome games, 6 comp. players vs 9 pub players - Games

If you don't like watching normal tf2 gameplay, you probably won't like this topic, so don't watch the videos. "After trying it on the gamefaq forums, cerious tried his experiment on the steam forum. Organized by cerious and LaFleur, they took 9 pubstars (people who commonly topped the boards in public games) and 6 comp players (people who have played in a league) and had them play three games to see who would win. The pubstars run highlander rues (one of each class) while the comps run CEVO rules (no more than two of each class, no more than one demo or medic). The first match was badlands, then badwater, and finally gravel pit." comp badlands+gpit pub badwater personally I beleive it reflects the game perfectly, since payload is mostly all about spam

And many of them get pissed off if you don't use a perticular weapon. (Scratch that people get pissed off if you use valves unlocks.

I think this is starting to get ridiculous. Shut up about the fucking pubs vs. comp nonsense. I don't care how terrible pub players are, and I certainly don't care about how srs bsness comp is. The thing is, comp rules actually aren't that strict. Typical 6v6 really only has three basic rules: 1. 6 players to a team 2. No more than 1 Demoman or Medic, no more than 2 of anything else 3. No Sandman There are some specific server settings and you can't just drop in randomly, but that's really all there is too it. Things like the standard Medic, Demo, 2 Soldiers, 2 Scouts and "[getting] pissed off if you use a perticular (sic) weapon" aren't rules (except the Sandman thing), they're things that happen because they work.

I thought this thread was a about the video, but guess what, now its about holla patrol.

This is just another proof that competitive players have the right to be cocky and elitist (which isnt even true but whatever...) winning 6v9 is crazy, winning 5v6 when one of your team mates drops out is nearly impossible i cant even think how hard it is winning with 3 player difference. People dont seem to understand that there is a level of "skill" after which you just get bored of pubs, sure you can be one of these pub heros with million of followers like that jenning guy but its more fun playing against people who acctually put up some challenge...
