What do i need to run a 32 slot server?

I run l4d games on a 2.4 ghz. You might need a good internet connection with a high upload rate for that many slots though.

As far as I know, you download and install the TF2 Dedicated Server Tool and use that to start the server. If you're asking what you need to run a 32 slot server, you're going to need a good internet connection like stated previously. That being said, I'm fairly certain running the server while it's populated will result in a drop of speed.

You'll need some way to automatically restart the server if it crashes, 32 players makes for instability.

Minimum reqs for TF2 (A 32 slot server will need more than this):

1 GHz Processor
256Mb RAM
2Gb Hard drive space
Internet connection with good upload speeds

I've got a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4, and my FPS drops to absolutely unplayable levels when there's more than ~20 people on the server. I don't think you'd be able to run a 32 man server without a significantly better processor.

Also, as said before, you need a hell of a good internet connection.

(Yes, I know my computer sucks. I'm getting a new one.)

If you're doing this from your own computer at home, why are you jacking the maxplayers up to 32? Just keep it at 24.

Dude if you want to run a server you need 2 pc if you want to play the one runs the server the other you can play on!

FPS have no effect on the speed of the server.
