I want to try the Ultra high settings (http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Ultra_high_settings) Is my computer good enough? I don't know much about graphics cards and stuff, so I don't know. But I hardly ever get lag if that matters.
What graphics card do you currently have?
As I stated, I'm not very good with this kind of stuff, where can I find that out?
See computermaster's post
I'm workin' on it.
And you might as well try the ultra high settings and see if you are comfortable with the speeds.
Is this good?
No. Don't even try, you'll probably fry that card trying.
I would say you should be good. Also, might want to move your laptop to somewhere better ventilated. That hard drive is getting hot.
No. Don't even try, you'll probably fry that card trying.
Heh, okay. Glad I asked :ohdear:
Am I seeing wrong, or is the motherboard a mac one?
Am I seeing wrong, or is the motherboard a mac one?
Boot Camp.
I would say you should be good. Also, might want to move your laptop to somewhere better ventilated. That hard drive is getting hot.
It's an iMac, but I guess I'll try.
Dude why is you HDD so damn hot? And why do you have a mac mobo? Are you... a macfag? [editline]01:47AM[/editline] Yes you are :colbert:
You could try playing on ultra high and seeing what happens.
Dude why is you HDD so damn hot? And why do you have a mac mobo? Are you... a macfag? [editline]01:47AM[/editline] Yes you are :colbert:
an imac with windows 7 installed?
It's an iMac, but I guess I'll try.
Ah, I assumed laptop due to the Mobility card. Check for proper ventilation still though and for dust and junk.
Ah, I assumed laptop due to the Mobility card. I'm probably going to check for dust anyway though.
Just go netgraph 1 and check your FPS on ultrahigh settings.
Are you... a macfag?
:colbert: Because I used to want to have a Mac so bad, then when I got one I realised they're not as good as I thought. So I booted up windows 7 on it, and I have to say it was a good decision, full settings on all games and no lag.
Dude why is you HDD so damn hot? And why do you have a mac mobo? Are you... a macfag? [editline]01:47AM[/editline] Yes you are :colbert:
I really really hate you right now, seriously why cant we all just get along? /ontopic: You should be able to play on moderately high settings, Im able to play on ultra high setting on my mac
So I should try ultra high settings?
So I should try ultra high settings?
Start with medium and work your way up and see how dramatically it affects your fps, thats what I did when I first switched over from bootcamp
Start with medium and work your way up and see how dramatically it affects your fps, thats what I did when I first switched over from bootcamp
Do you mean the settings in the options menu or the autoexec? If you mean the options menu I'm already on max with that.
Why don't you just run TF2 On you MacOSX You can now.
Why don't you just run TF2 On you MacOSX You can now.
I know. But it's different(kinda). And for some reason I get lag on the OSX version but not when I run it with bootcamp.
Do you mean the settings in the options menu or the autoexec? If you mean the options menu I'm already on max with that.
Oh if you already have the settings maxed out ive found that the ultra high settings autoexec doesnt make a difference really so id say go for it
Oh if you already have the settings maxed out ive found that the ultra high settings autoexec doesnt make a difference really so id say go for it
Okay I'll try.
