Spiral Sallet now available through playing Spiral Knights - Games

Personally I'll wait until they add the existing account to Steam account system next week. Note that you can only unlock the Steam achievement right now by doing it with a Steam account. Also, there's a chance maybe there will be a TF2 item each day for different F2P games.

The hat doesn't drop for me and I've got the achievement, How's that possible?

I just thougt that if they announce it, it's because we can get it.

Done the achievement but no hat drop as of yet.

It just dropped for me. I had to go to Mann Co. Store.

If it's not dropping, enter the Mann Co. Store. That tend to fix the issue.

Wow, for an "everyone-will-get-it-because-it's-free" hat it's amazing.

I ran through some hard-as-dicks dungeon and spend quite a lot of energy getting to the third floor before we all died and gave up. Now I have none and shall have to wait until tomorrow for my hat :(

Can someone explain the energy mechanic to me? I skipped straight to the mission after the tutorial via invite from Demeschik.

There's 2 kinds of energy; Mist Energy and Crystal Energy. Mist energy is the little bar at the bottom. It starts at 100 and recharges at a rate of 1 every 15 minutes or so when you use it (so it takes 24 hours to fully-recharge the meter). It maxes out at 100. Crystal Energy is the stuff you have to buy - either using crowns or real moneys. This adds to the number above the little bar and (obviously) allows you to do more stuff. This theoretically doesn't have a maximum. That's pretty much what I've gathered from playing so far.

Encourages going back to the game for 2-3 hours each day, rather than spending a full day on the game and getting bored of overplaying it, as well as helping to prevent social collapse of a given person, even though that's near impossible to do anyway. Well, got the achievement, gonna uninstall Spiral Knights again now. Was the hat only available today, or would someone who'd get the achievement in 4 weeks from now still get the hat? No source I've looked at so far states this clearly...

It's crappy/.

The hat doesn't motivate me. At least I have something to boast about...

Pretty annoying that it only works with the Steam login, having to start all over again doesn't seem that enticing to me

Got the hat, going to name it "Shelmet's Shell" once I get a nametag. Then probably describe it as "Evolution chain? Screw the rules! I'm a human now!"
