So, I'm asking you simple question: Which drop system do you prefer?
The old one, where you could get items non stop, but you had 25% on every 25 minutes to get weapon drop, and every 4 hours and 20 minutes you had 1/28 chance to get a hat.
or
The new one, where you have item cap, but you are certain to get items. Even if you don't fill up the cap, it just adds on to next week's cap.
Also, wait for poll to go up, don't post "derp wer is da poll???" .
Old, in this one I've had weeks where I get 2 items the whole week, and some where I get 12. Maybe it's just me, but with the old I kept at a consistent rate.
Old so I could idle my arse off.
Old one, because I like hats.
With the old system, you could sacrifice time to get a hat more quickly.
With the new system, sacrificing time does not get you a hat more quickly, and the only way to get a hat is to sacrifice time.
I prefer old drop system as well.
Old one, because I play a lot and new one punishes me for that :saddowns:
New, because I didn't get shit with the old one.
Old
New one
The new one.
I know I'm going to get items every so often, with the old one it was just "Will I get an item". I had no idea. Also, I didn't really take to idling.
New one, because it means idling is pretty much rubbish now.
Used to be old but I barely play TF2 now so new one
New. I get hats and items now <3
New. I used to get drops like once a month.
New one because I actually get drops now.
Only idlers prefer the old one.
The drop cap is the only retarded thing about it.
The guarenteed item part was good.
If I had to pick I'd go with old mind.
Remove drop cap and it is far better than the old one.
They don't need to remove cap, because we would get items too fast, more weapons, more hats, lower rarity of them.
They just need to put cap to around 15 items a week, which should take you approximately month and a week to get random hat, and 2 months for class specific month.

I'm not an idler and I prefer the old, because I could find items faster, and I play TF2 A LOT, so the cap really stops me from being able to find items while playing LEGIT

Errr, no
54 items=1 random hat, 75 items=1 specific hat
So 1 month and 1 week=75 items
Old. I used to actually get items with the old one, this new one, I only get one drop a week.
ONE
I loved the old one but with that system I got 1 hat every 500 hour or so but with the new one I've received 4 hats randomly since it was released (avg 5-9 hours gameplay each day.)
I actually get drops with the new system. So new.
New one, I get loads more drops.
Well considering I have no non-event hats/misc items I don't really care yet.
I'm getting more items on the new one, so... :downs:
old
New, gives me a reason to look forward to Thursday.
Also, I don't have to worry about idling anymore. Yeah, I idled, but when I didn't I was anxious at the fact that I wasn't getting items, so the new system lifted a burden off my shoulders.
Only idlers prefer the old one.
Not if you play TF2 a lot.
I didn't think idling was a big deal anyway, so introducing this new drop system was unnecessary for me. So yeah, old drop system.
(IMO everyone should just have all weapons and every day right when you start playing TF2 the game will either give you a rare hat drop or not and that's it for the day, but as that idea pretty much completely fucks up the system many people more or less cling to I don't expect any agreement here)
I started idling since the new drop system
Already found 2 hats
