Maybe it's slower then the good 'ol shotgun, carries less ammo and reloades slower, but it WILL blast people's face away stats: Primary Weapon *Shooting bullets similiar to the Flare Gun* (stats compere to the Shotgun) 32 carried, 1 loaded -60% fire rate -10% chance to crit -20% damage done Chargeable shots by colors Green Bar(0%-35%): Just a small flare, damage only, heating your own gun a little. Each shot adds 10% to your weapon heat bar. moves as fast as a flare. Orange Bar(36%-70%): Heating your enemies Primary\Secondary weapons a little, 4 of these shots will burn their hands (25% heat). moves as fast as a flare. Enemy Burn: not able to use the weapons (Primary and Secondary) until they cool off (4 Secs), lose 20 HP on burn Player Burn: not able to use Primary weapon for 20 secs. -15 HP on burn should look somthing like this: http://blog.invisiblecreature.com/wp...mpunk_gun1.jpg Morgan Level 5 Improvised Weapon Primary Weapon Unlock original thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1017154 all credits on morgan goes to bunivasal, awsome weapon too :D Morgan is a fairly ordinary shotgun. Similar damage and range, albeit it only carries four shots, and has a slower firing speed and reload time. She's an old favorite, though, with team-colored tape on the butt and barrel. However, drop her to make Morgan really shine: m2 deploys her as a turret, robbing the Engineer of his primary gun in place of a pretty li'l improvised turret. Hold M2 longer to move the blueprint further away, the longer its held the further it's thrown, attaching to walls or ceilings. Stats: While held: 66% clip size 120% reload speed 125% firing interval While Deployed: 100 HP 35-50 damage Cost: 25 metal .5 attack interval 1 second deploy time 26 ammo Can't be upgraded or repaired Sappers destroy Morgan in one second and cannot be removed Automatically self-destructs upon Engineer death Automatically reequips upon wrench-hit, saving remaining ammo original thread: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1017154 all credits on morgan goes to bunivasal, awsome weapon too :D Day 2: http://i47.tinypic.com/2d7egbb.png "Now that there was a fine piece of work"~ The Engineer Brand new Community Maps. Nice idea. The Shop System... :gizz:
stop posting no one cares about your fucking update ideas
That's actually a really good idea. That has to be the best idea I've heard for rectifying the idling situation. You get money for winning rounds, for getting kills, et cetera, and then you use it to buy hats! This accomplishes what Valve wanted in the first place: people playing more for the chance at rewards. It would be impossible to farm, as the best way to get money would be a bona-fide effort at winning a game. It would destroy idle servers as they would be considered useless. This system is, as far as I know, un-cheatable. Shit this should be brought to Valve's attention. The only problem I have with it is that by getting money by crafting, you are still encouraging idling, as it's still a very fast way at getting money.
The shop system is rather sexy.
Well, I always opposed a shop idea, but this seems to make it seem less shitty. Also the buildable ideas are pretty cool too. [editline]07:27AM[/editline] And by less shitty, I mean good.
"35-50 damage Cost: 25 metal .5 attack interval" Erm... so Morgan is basically a rooted Rapid Soldier? Normal SG only deals 5 - 30dmg. What makes your so overpowered?
this is retarded
You obliviously put a lot of work into that, nice job :golfclap:

Yeah, people may idle, but they'll make more points by winning games and being good. Kills isnt a good idea because its farmable, thats why getting TFcash from winning a game in a server of 6+ players is a better way (also, you won't gain cash from bots)
"35-50 damage Cost: 25 metal .5 attack interval" Erm... so Morgan is basically a rooted Rapid Soldier?
its slower then SG shots and its close range with low HP, its like a mini shotgun, but you'll have to use it wise because you may end up without the SG and you'll have to fight with the Secondary weapon, if you have one =P
Forget the engineer, the idea of the trading and shop system is very good!
Now, we need the send the idea at Robin. :3:
Now, we need the send the idea at Robin. :3:
i sent the whole ideas to Robin and Jason, i hope for good news =[
Great stuff! Now I can't wait to see what Valve will do.
The shop idea is very great, actually the best solution yet! However, is there any restrictions for winning a match and getting TF cash? Otherwise you could leave the PC on over the night at a new sort of idle server, an attack/defend server to get 50 points every second round. If the round time was as short as possible you could wake up with lots of TF cash! Great idea anyway!
32 bullets in a magazine, 1 bullet in a clip
Wat?

Cash will never work becase people will find some way to exploit and farm it. Pow, thousands of hats are saturated into the community, and they're no longer rare. Trading becomes, on the most part , worthless. TF2 begins to haemorrhage players like a gutted cornish game hen. Angry gamers picket Valve's offices. Robin Walker's taxi cab is overturned and he is ripped to shreds by obese neckbeards determined to get revenge. As the Valve offices burn under the boots of the mob, Gabe Newell is launched into space in an effort to preserve the last of Valve's interests. Good job, you just got Gabe Newell launched into space. Is that what you want?

People are lazy fucks, and yes, they will find ways to farm/exploit the system. And hats have been given an ungodly amount of silly attention when it's really a few extra polygons. Also, a Gabe satellite would be neat.
also, Klammyxxl thing about flare gun, it has 16 bullets in a magazine and 1 in a clip, you need to reload each shot
Flare has no real magazine or clips, but rather "rounds". Same for flamethrower, minigun, so on, just not in a literal context.
Good job, you just got Gabe Newell launched into space. Is that what you want?
Actually, this sounds pretty cool.
I really like the shop system.
Ok ideas, but it seems like everyone's Engie unlock ideas are sometimes just too damn complex, and Idk about the shop system, Valve would never make people pay shit like that.
"Alright sir, no more mister good guy" Seems cliche..

His mass is way too fucking big, it's not that he is held by the gravity of the planet, it's the exact opposite. Yeah, the planet floats thanks to gabe's fat.
tbqh i only want a few certain hats, just because i think they look cool and fit their class well. all those ~silly wacky epic lulz~ hats are useless to me. if i got the tooth belt, the mine light, the fedora or the head mirror i'd be happy.
also, Klammyxxl think about flare gun, it has 16 bullets in a magazine and 1 in a clip, you need to reload each shot
I think by clip you mean chamber, and by magazine you mean carrying capacity. A clip and a magazine are essentially the same exact thing, and you weren't really referring to either of them. Just clearing stuff up.

Update's shenanigans, I bet they could implement a system that only awards TFcredits on approved (or simply just stock) maps that are running vanilla settings (unmodified respawn and round timers, etc.,.). That would severely cut down on the farmability, while also increasing the difficulty of idling. You would have to find a server where half the people want to play, while the other half idle.

Don't really want to offend you, but the shop's a shit idea. It will turn into some kind of shitty MMO, it'll explode in a lot of drama, chasing to get more and more TFcash. More rich players will shit on the less rich players, and totally everybody will forget about the TEAMPLAY AND FUN, the main idea of the game. Also, people will find a way to farm those. I guess the crafting system was already too much for this game, but hear me, if it gets a shop, the entire game would be shitty.
