"Old" TF2 Skins? - Games - Facepunch Forum

Has someone made skins of the "Old" TF2 uniforms, the ones when the game was first unveiled? I kind of liked the older TF2 look better, it was more militaristic and more 'bleached' lighting-wise. Obviously, I can't change the lighting (color correction filter maybe?) but I'd enjoy the skins.

I'm too lazy to list them here; I'll get around to it later. :P Pretty much look for Revenent100's stuff. He's the authority on returning things to beta-styled form, and he did most of the beta skins you see around. He didn't do the Heavy, but other people did a decent enough job on it. (though we could use a better one...) Some people did some, like the Spy, after he had already done them and they got many details and colors wrong. He recently went back and updated a lot of them, too.

I asked Revenent100 if he would, but for the time being he was done with the TF2 beta project. The Demoman he released lately he already had half-done, so he just decided to finish it. I'd REALLY love to see a proper beta Heavy, though. REALLY.

Beta skins are the only player skins I ever use.

But I can't get rid of the gloves without it looking deformed.

But I still need a lot of work with the particle effects before I can make it look right, I haven't used the particle system before, and I only know the basics of it.

Is it just me or is FPS Banana the dodgiest fucking shit ever? I go on it for like 2 minutes and all of a sudden I get a pop-up bitching that I have adware and spyware (which I probably do now) and then goes and downloads something without me even clicking anything. It's fucked up now I have to Search & Destroy my computer.

Recently FPSB has had viruses on it. I'd just not go on there until they fix it all.

My FPSB Hasn't loaded at all. Maybe someone can upload them to filefront or gmod.org?

FPSB is down guys, just wait they are probably fixing their little problem.

The best that a texture mod could do is change his vest to have the old texture with the shoulder pad while darkening the red/blue and turning the fist emblem into a flat yellow circle. If you've done these things, I DESPERATELY want your skin. :D Edit: You should post a screenshot!

TBH i don't see any relevant difference except the occasional armband and slight colour difference.

@Shugo and butthurter Yes, I did add the shoulder pads and have a flat yellow circle logo and alot of the other vest details. I've made custom normals, but they kinda suck. @Caps lock Looks good to me.
