"Tr_Idle" - The first training map to feature instructions on how to idle - Games

This isn't a joke. Apparently it's also the first training map (The using the new entities kind) to ever be released. Heh. No need to post screenshots because it looks just like achievement_idle. Just something I made in my spare time, figuring out how to make training maps, its much easier than i thought. The purpose of the map is to teach the NEW Mac users (not the bootcamp ones) about idling. You know there is tr_walkway, right? Also nice edit over there.

tr_walkway doesn't teach about idling, now does it? This map is a joke anyway about the fact its easier to find items when playing training maps.

Valve does not check for idlers every few weeks and they do not take your items. :colbert:

i laughed at this when i went in game and played it.

Who got his items removed for idling "legitimately"? Also, is it true that you get more drops in training?? Does it bypass the weekly limit BS? I noticed yesterday I got a lot more drops that I normally would. If this is true, I want to try it out.

Yeah, it is true. This is why I made this map [editline]09:37AM[/editline] And apparently when I tried to post the thread on steam forums it got removed instantly, which is pretty cool. Guess valve is afraid more people will start to idle or something.

If Valve removed it instantly it sounds like they'd punish people who did it now.

I was unaware that custom training maps could be made.

Indeed they could, Robin himself mentioned in an email that good training maps will be included in TF2. This is however, not such map :v:

I don't know, if they're that worried it sounds like they'd make up another stupid excuse to flag people's accounts and do something annoying like adding angel wings as a misc slot item for the people who didn't idle this way. Anyways, do I need a mediafire account to download that map? My internet is struggling because some GENIUS in town cut through a fiber optic line, could you possibly put it on megaupload, please?

Thanks bro. I'll idle in it for a little bit to see what happens. So far it gives more rate of items AND bypasses the limit per week? It shouldn't hurt their precious servers if people idle locally to get local items...much anyway.
