Thanks for your faithful recreation, although I think it would have been better to augment the rhythm so you have a rhythmic pace of 2 chords per bar and the melody is in quavers (leaving the tempo at about 80bpm). It aids cohesion. Excellent work, however!

Wasn't there a delay between the first whole note and the crotchet in section [B]?

By that, I mean the whole note starts first, then the crotchet kicks in like a second later or something (not at the same time).

I'm sorry but I do not understand. If you're implying that I left out an articulation, like a fermata, than I did that mostly on purpose for time.
