It's a hill. Spies can sap and demomen can lob stickies from under the hill to the hilltop without being shot by the sentries.
And then there's uber.

Valve wont just make it a CP map with a modified time limit, dimwit.
Obviously, they'll tweak it so shit like that cant happen

I only hope they were thoughtful enough to put a no build zone around the cap point, or else I see 60% of the matches going like this:
1. rush point
2. secure point
3. build sentry farms
4.???
5. game over
And a full on sentry farm can easily be held for three minutes if the other team is not tactical enough.

They have one Custom map that will FUCK YOU UP.

Yeah, it doesn't seem like a great idea to me. It seems like TF2 generally has ways to spread the classes throughout the map, taking different routes to accomplish different objectives, but here everybody will just want to get to the point as fast as possible.
I guess they're just coming out with a modified version of arena because arena maps are so easy to make. To spice it up, they could at least make it so that the point changes its location, so the whole match doesn't revolve around one spot. Or better yet, do something like Goldeneye's Flag Tag mode. You have to hold the flag for as long as you can, but while holding it, you can't attack or anything. One team would have to defend the flag holder until they score. Is that like the Hunted mode from TFC? Something like that?

This argument goes both ways. You can't say that it's good OR bad yet, but you can sure as hell speculate. It's not like KotH is a new idea in the FPS world

KoTH has been playable for NH for months as of now. Jesus Christ I hope VALVe Fixed it up.

why would Koth be an engy fest and yet every other point control map somehow isn't?

no it would be full of spies silly.
Many community KOTH maps are made so it's difficult to place effective sentry locations, I can imagine the same with this one - not like Hoodoo where 90% of the map is a good sentry spot.
It says there's a three minute timer, and when the enemy team caps the point again, it'll freeze the previous holding teams' timer. Will it slowly go down, or will it stay in that spot until they recap or the round ends? I wonder.

soldiers + demomen + heavies rush in and finish them off while they're being sapped
