Back in the days of v_models, they would include their own custom animations with the file. So making your own is easy. But with c_models, it doesn't matter how many anims you compile, TF2 still reads off the "master" list file, c_engineer_animations.mdl or whichever class. I've tried to inject my own animations in this file also, but the games remain static in game.
Is it even possible to make custom animations on c_models?
Any advice is much appreciated!
I think it's possible to create custom animations using the c arm sources Daimao released in the emporium sometime ago.
Should have asked this in emporium - doesn't need it's own thread

I have the fixed c animations files from that thread and its been great to get me animating. But I just can't get them to work in the game. Everything is static.

Sounds like you're not getting the sequences or animation queues correct.
You'd be best off asking in the emporium.
As I feared, it will just get lost in the thread.
So you just repost until someone helps.
