• How I got hats very quick idling

Hello, I thought that I could share a tip with you how to get fast hats. And don't come and whine about here for idling and shit. 1. Get to a idle server. 2. Go and spectate. 3. After 10-20 minutes or so, go to red or blue and spawn. 4. Kill yourself. 5. Repeat parts 2-4 for a while I have done that about 5 times, and I have gotten 2 dupes and: Fancy Fedora Respectless Rubber Glove The Gunboats [editline]09:52PM[/editline] Oh, also when I said "about 5 times" I mean I have done that method once and then idled for the rest of the night 5 times.
nobody cares this has nothing to do with your chances of getting a hat
i don't get it they're just hats bro why would you spend an entire night repeating a boring and probably useless process when you could be doing something much better like fapping or eating a sandwhich or maybe sleeping
Which you do while idling if you are not retarded.
Fap for 15 min, then go die in a video game what takes like 30 secs and then go do something else?
I still don't understand what the big deal about hats are? Its not like them improve your gameplay.
Start TF2 then join the idle server, then leave and restart TF2 over and over while rejoining and you'll get hats, Ive got 65 hats this way
I still don't understand what the big deal about hats are? Its not like them improve your gameplay.
It's a gimmick by Valve to show you are better than everyone else.
I still don't understand what the big deal about hats are? Its not like them improve your gameplay.
Gee I haven't heard this one before. Any sane long-time TF2 player would understand the value of hats after 3 years of not having them.
I would perfer to get my hats the honest way. It would feel better if you got them the honest way and had worked for it.
This won't make your chances any higher.
Well since I'm desperate enough,I'll try this. Also xpod,I told Lakister that I'll call you both in about hour for L4D2. Keychain,I'm dissapoint. :colbert:
alias weirdmojo "jointeam red;wait 50;joinclass scout;wait 50;kill;wait 500;jointeam spectator;wait 150000;weirdmojo" No need to do it manually.
Just go spec for the night, then join a team in the morning and kill yourself. It gives you exactly the same chances and it isn't fuck annoying.
Didn't want to play L4D2 because I never do in general anymore anyway. Ninja'd, twice.
I would perfer to get my hats the honest way. And even with crafting, it'll take an unbelievable amount of time to gather the metal without idling. I get maybe 1 or 2 items a day from normal gameplay, compared to upwards of 10 while idling.
alias weirdmojo "jointeam red;wait 50;joinclass scout;wait 50;kill;wait 50;jointeam spectator;wait 150000;weirdmojo" No need to do it manually.
So do I type that in console?
Didn't want to play L4D2 because I never do in general anymore anyway. Ninja'd, twice.
I thought same thing,but it's fun after a while.
So do I type that in console? I thought same thing, but it's fun after a while.
Yes, then you type: weirdmojo to start the alias.
This is the same as. 1-Go to a idle server 2-Go spectator and have a life while you idle (Or do something else) 3-After a whole day in idle (Spectator) join red/blu and die (Or just join a game of TF2 and play normaly) 4-ITEMS/HATS! Seriously, this doesn't make your chances higher... Damn, ninja'd and quake'd D:
Yes, then you type: weirdmojo to start the alias.
Thanks,rated useful.
OP should just do step 4.
I would perfer to get my hats the honest way. It would feel better if you got them the honest way and had worked for it.
According to valve idling is the honest way
Gee I haven't heard this one before. Any sane long-time TF2 player would understand the value of hats after 3 years of not having them.
Still no demohat for me. And I've been playing ever since Dustbowl was the only map.
This is almost as retarded as Nanosquids "INSTANT HAT" method.
Gee I haven't heard this one before. Any sane long-time TF2 player would understand the value of hats after 3 years of not having them.
Gee seems that all you care about is aesthetic appeal and not about core game play.
There's something I really don't understand about this whole idling thing. Idling does not and has been proven to not do ANYTHING to increase your chances of getting an arbitrary equip item. All you're doing is standing around ingame, when you could be using the game for what you paid for. So uh instead of idling why don't you y'know play the game like a normal person

What's your point? Because all I'm getting from this is that, instead of playing the game as it was intended to be played, you leave the game on and go stand around for six hours on a server where you're meant to stand around for six hours while you sleep. Then you wake up and say hey look I got a super awesome fedora let me just equip it and wear it like I earned it. You didn't earn shit. You were asleep. If you idled to get something as arbitrary as a hat, you don't deserve something so simple anyway.
Gee seems that all you care about is aesthetic appeal and not about core game play.
It's a gimmick by Valve to show you are better than everyone else. In marketing language, a gimmick is a quirky feature that distinguishes a product or service without adding any obvious function or value. Thus, a gimmick sells solely on the basis of distinctiveness and may not appeal to the more savvy or shrewd customer.
