Multiple times in a round some shadows appear out of no where and cause my game to stutter. Has anyone else experienced this?
Do you have any mods/skins
A few.
How many is "a few"?
I use a couple of fixes, nothing too major.
Get rid of them

I've used them for a while already without problems, but I will try how it will do without them.
Model fixes for some weapons (like my Scottish Resistance Fix) have their physics models replaced by the normal ones, and I think they cause those shadow problems.
Happens a lot, but random stripes of shadow are on the map for me.
only known maps for me that this happens: Mario_Kart and koth_Sawmill.
What skins are these and do they happen alot or just sometimes?
I'm getting the same thing quite often. Large shadows will randomly dance across the map. I've probably got a gig of mods, maybe?
I am, wtf.

Hey, I have the same problem. :frown:

What, having a gig of mods?
I don't think I'm getting the same glitch as other people, but in the past few days I've seen shadows of things that weren't there. Like I'd pick up an ammo box, but its shadow would still be spinning on the ground, or I'd see a shadow of a level 3 sentry in some place where there was no sentry.
You people get shadows? Lucky...
I used to have this but it got fixed by itself.
What, having a gig of mods?
I hope not, because that would mean some of the mods were viruses and dowloaded a gig of spam in my TF2 folder. :ohdear:
Ohhhh, so that's why I get those. Oh well, they're not too bad, and I like my skins too much to replace get rid of them.
I have this problem too. I've had it for a few weeks though.
^
Yeah...
-windowed -noborder causes this problem I think, I hope someone finds a solution
I've had this problem for forever, figure its just my autoexec causing it
Pictures?
Pictures?
It'd be hard to get a picture of, cause it happens randomly and is over in a few seconds. It tends to cause a major FPS drop though.
It takes about a second to take your hand off the mouse and press print-screen.
It takes about a second for the shadows to start spinning and stop spinning
