• The Last Point

It seems to me that none of my teammates ever understand the importance of defending the last point. I'm always the only person standing on it, and experience tells me that one person is never enough. Just today I was saying how it's annoying how people still don't know this, and someone else said I was being a dick. Even if there's a sentry, you still need more than just an Engineer, since it only takes 1 Spy/Sniper/Scout/Demoman/Heavy/Pyro/Soldier to rush it, destroy it, and cap. I'm sick of losing games because of ignorant or unhelpful teammates not helping defend.
totally worth a thread
Sometimes people play deathmatch instead of whatever gamemode is currently active. Luckily this, if it happens, often goes for both team. It's not limited to the last point tho. Just try out different servers, Sturgeon's Law is in full effect when it comes to TF2 servers.
spycap
spycap
That happened to me once. one frickin' spy capped the point single-handedly because my team was all pyros and scouts and in respawn. because some idiot said, and I quote, "need moar scouts and pyros on defense" we then lost in the next 5 minutes to the aforementioned spycap.
spycap
I did that on cp_gorge, all of the sentries were in the room between point a and point b. Felt like a god.
I did that on cp_gorge, all of the sentries were in the room between point a and point b. Felt like a god.
Me (a medic) and a spy did that. The other team was completely made of engineers, I just went to cap while my pocket ran off.
I don't like 5cp maps.. like at all. Koth is very cool because only 1 controlpoint, and it can be very epic defending etc. other than Koth I usually play some pl_maps too although I used to hate them, still do kinda :v:
